The Cafe Trieste is a little island of tranquility from the hustle and bustle of the Arab bazaar. A good cup of melange or a glass of ice cold spritzer. Ea ch time I'm in the vicinity, I drop by.

The location is amazing! Right inside the old city, behind a wooden door (where you need to ask for a premission by pressing the button) they serve a homemade shtrudele ( one person especially makes it) and you should go out to the garden to eat it.

Stunning cafe with a quiet European atmosphere

A great opportunity to stay right in the old town in a German-speaking environment. Highly recommended.

We visited the hospice's cafe/restaurant and did not stay in the rooms. The schnitzel is excellent, it's just a shame there is no variety in the toppings served alongside it - just cold potato salad (looks like mashed potatoes but is not) or salad. The apple strudel is excellent and served with whipped cream. Reasonable pricing, very good atmosphere. We preferred to sit at the tables outside rather than inside. Excellent service from the employees there.
