I’d give it a 4. Stayed here twice. The first time was good. I had a good sleep all throughout my stay. The 2nd time. It was bad. Though I got a better room, I also got the worst neighbors. Rowdy. They were noisy until wee hours of the day. They smoke in the shared bathroom and I think inside the rooms as well. I won’t mention the nationality but I’m sure most people will know which one I’m talking about. They occupied majority of the rooms in my floor. I think the hotel should just kick out those rowdy people. My first stay was great. The 2nd one was bad because of those people.

This place has some advantages, but all of them turn out to be less important than the strong moldy smell. When we asked to move to another room, we were informed than all the same. And one more thing I dislike about the room - it didn't have a window.

This place was Good for travel around colombo city

The room was great and cozy. The location is ideal, you can easily roam around via walk or Tuktuk. The toilet area was shared but very clean and comfortable to take a shower. Plenty of space to accommodate everyone.

Very clean - bathrooms (private and shared) are very modern and clean too. The rooms align with what you pay and location is very central to everything. Highlight was definitely the staff/customer service. Everyone was so nice, friendly, helpful and always willing to assist. They even let you store your luggage after you check out for the entire day. I would definitely consider staying there again 🤗

Really, really good location... Quite... 5 min walk to the train station...

The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the location is very good - right inside the fort district. The bathroom (even though shared) was modern and very clean. The room was rather basic than something to match the pricy paid. Walls are dirty and very thin (you cannot sleep if your neighbors talk because you hear everything). The wood pavement was very old and crappy, more like a very basic room in a village. In my opinion, not worth the money paid, half price would have been more appropriate, but probably they charge for central location double price. 25$ for airport pickup in the middle of the night, which is a fair price.

This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Dirt, stench, and utter neglect—that's the best way to describe this place. The rooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months, the smell was unbearable, and the bathroom was in a terrible state. Instead of rest, there was frustration and disgust. A complete lack of standards, a lack of comfort, and a lack of respect for guests. I strongly advise against it—it's better to sleep in your car than here.

Perfect stay for a Colombo city break! We had a very pleasant experience at CityRest Fort. The express check-in was seamless and much appreciated. The location is incredibly convenient—most of the major tourist attractions are within walking distance, and there are fantastic food options right nearby. If you are looking for a hassle-free place to stay while experiencing the heart of Colombo, this is it. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for two nights. The location is amazing. It's at the centre of city fort, near the bus station, railway station and promenade. The price is very affordable. Rooms are clean with all essentials like kettle, heater, towels. Only drawback I can think of is the room we stayed had no window. We booked the queen bedroom with private bathroom. Highly recommended!

A disgusting place. Dirty, the rooms are simply dead. The smell of damp and mold is everywhere. We couldn't sleep in the room because of the smell and left that night. Despite this, the manager only refunded half the cost. The price, by the way, was also extremely inflated.
