What might your future look like if you could imagine it on your own terms?
Join Activate Queer Teen Club Vienna on Sunday, 13 September 2026, from 14:00 to 17:00 for a creative afternoon of scrapbooking and future visualising at Villa Vida Café.
Activate is a fun, supportive safer space for queer, trans, nonbinary, intersex, lesbian, gay, bi, pan, ace, questioning and otherwise LGBTQIA+ young people aged 14–19. You do not need to have everything figured out. In fact, questioning young people are explicitly welcome too. Activate’s programme is designed around respect for people across the queer community.
This month’s session will be supervised by Jamila (she/they) and Moiz (he/him).

Scrapbooking & Future Visualising
Sometimes imagining the future is easier with scissors, paper, colours and images than with a five-year plan.
During this creative workshop, participants can use scrapbooking and visualisation to explore ideas about their futures, identities, dreams, interests and the things that matter to them.
There is no single way your scrapbook has to look. You can be ambitious, playful, uncertain, practical, fantastical or somewhere in between.
Most importantly, the afternoon is about creating something for yourself while spending time with other queer young people.
A Queer Space Without Pressure
Activate is about community as much as it is about activities. Therefore, the workshop is also an opportunity to meet other LGBTQIA+ teens in Vienna in a supportive environment.
You do not need to be outgoing or already know anyone at the club. You also do not need to be “good at art” to participate.
Similarly, nobody has to share personal thoughts, explain their identity or show their finished work. Activate follows a simple principle for its workshops: everyone can participate, but nobody has to.
So, whether you want to spend the afternoon making an elaborate vision board, quietly putting together a few pages, chatting with other people or simply seeing what the workshop is like, there is space for you.
Who Is Activate Queer Teen Club For?
Activate is specifically created for young people aged 14–19.
The club welcomes young people across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, including people who are still exploring or questioning their gender or sexuality. Moreover, Activate explicitly works against queerphobia, transphobia, biphobia, panphobia, racism, sexism and ableism.
You do not need to have a particular label or prove that you belong. Instead, the aim is to create a space where queer young people can meet, try new things and experience community without pressure.
What to Expect
The session lasts three hours, from 14:00 until 17:00.
The atmosphere is intended to be relaxed rather than competitive. Therefore, you can approach the activity in whatever way works for you.
You can focus on making something, talk to other participants or take things at your own pace. Additionally, you are welcome whether this is your first Activate meeting or you have joined us before.
Accessibility at Villa Vida Café
Villa Vida Café aims to make its space accessible to as many people as possible.
The café has a step-free entrance via Linke Wienzeile, including a ramp and automatic door. An accessible toilet is available on the ground floor. The indoor café is also completely non-smoking.
Accessible indoor seating is available, and service animals are welcome at Villa Vida events.
If you have access needs that could make attending more difficult, please let the organisers know. Activate specifically encourages young people to communicate barriers to participation so that the team can try to find a solution together.
The session will be held primarily in English and German. Participants are welcome to speak whichever language they feel most comfortable using, and our supervisors usually speak additional languages.
Meet This Month’s Supervisors
This September session will be supervised by Jamila (she/they) and Moiz (he/him).
They will be there throughout the afternoon while participants scrapbook, imagine, create and spend time together.
Activate is built around community and safer-space principles. The wider Activate team includes members of the queer community, and the programme is led with an emphasis on respectful and gender-sensitive interaction.
