Great location. Average rooms. No aircon.

It's very well located, but it's very noisy because it's so central. I didn't like the room at all; the bathroom was downstairs and we had to climb stairs to get to the beds. We kept hitting our heads on the ceiling. In short, it was a bit shabby, with carpeted floors and a fan from the last century—you can imagine.

I'll start with the good stuff-- the staff was pleasant, the owner was super friendly, helpful and a joy to interact with. The decor was over-the-top Persian, antique-like and whimsical. It was like being in your grandmother's home-- it was very kitschy but inviting. It truly made me smile. I thought the property was very much central to the city; great location just minutes from the train station and all of the major attractions, restaurants and shops. It was very affordable. The room was spacious enough for me and my friend-- and I appreciated having a private bathroom. I say this because it wasn't obvious that we would, in fact, have our own bathroom (moving to the not-so-good stuff)...this very much felt like a brothel or hostel. It was tethering on grimy...dark, dirty carpets, uncomfortable mattresses and pillows, worn out linens. The room gave a smell of musky/dusty/old. Our TV did not provide any working channels. I didn't see any bugs with my eyes, but I kept anticipating it. The biggest disappointment was there is no air conditioning (it was a hot June day) so we were forced to sleep with the window open which faced the busiest street. This meant late night shouting (World Cup matches being watched at the restaurants along the street) and early morning VERY LOUD trucks cleaning the streets, picking up trash and delivering goods to nearby restaurants (I am talking about starting at 5:00AM). We had room 122. I did not sleep well. I also wouldn't stay here again...

If I could give zero stars, I would. We had drinks that were over three years past their expiration date, and waffles that were abominably bad, probably also expired and very hard. So I definitely don't recommend it. Also, a completely crazy woman started screaming, and lastly, a man who couldn't count tried to rip us off for several euros.

Excellent location, just steps from the central station and main square. Excellent service, lovely facilities, everything clean, new bathroom.

A cool hotel with a lot of decoration, very North African (Moroccan) style with other styles too. Best location close to everything!!! Elevator but small (go in turns) nice and helpful staff. No AC. For us no problem but if you are sensitive to bar streets with noise late at night this is not the place for you! Not handicapped accessible!

It’s dead centre Brussels, the owner of the hotel is a very nice gentleman, offered us tea and a visit of the hotel, and the garden inside of it, my friends and I were very pleased to have the opportunity to talk to such a lovely man

It's close to the station, Grand Place is about a minute's walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, making it a convenient location even late at night. I stayed alone as a woman, but my room was one of a series of rooms, and there was only a door inside that was locked, so I could hear sounds from the next room very clearly, which made me uneasy about security. Perhaps because it's old, it's not very clean. I stayed in May, and the weather was bad. I got caught in the rain and returned to my room freezing, but there was no air conditioning. The oil heater also didn't have any oil in it, so I think you should bring warm clothing if you're staying here. I got lost trying to find my way from the reception to my room.

Horrible. I was assigned the furthest room possible. Oddly enough, it was on the ground floor, but to get to the room I had to go all the way up to the first floor and then back down again—dozens and dozens of steps along the way. A complete maze. The customer service was terrible. The hotel owner is quite odd, egocentric, and capricious. The room was freezing cold; there was no insulation from the outside due to the broken windows. The location doesn't compensate for so many negative aspects. There was a mix-up with my reservation because I had a different check-out time than the one the hotel stated. They were extremely rude, even though I'm usually quite civil and accommodating. I recommend avoiding this awful place.

The location alone is worth the effort of staying in a hotel with very bad rooms. Old, cramped, with finishes falling apart. But the hotel is so unique, different, and well-located that I think it's worth the experience for a short stay.

It's truly a wonderful place for the weekend, and the services are excellent.

Unique in the heart of the city, next to the main square, the owner is wonderful, the staff very helpful, and above all, it's clean. See you soon!

BED BUGS!!! The room was infested with bed bugs. A HORRIBLE stay. No reaction from management, it's just HORRIBLE, UNBELIEVABLE!!
