Jarun Lake (cruising area)

Jarun, the recreational lake in south-western Zagreb popular for swimming, sport and summer nightlife, has wooded and more secluded stretches away from the main beaches that see gay cruising during the day and early evening, particularly in the warmer months. The status here is more ambiguous and seasonal than at Maksimir, and the wider Jarun area is busy and public, so awareness of surroundings is important. As always, choose open, easily-exited spots and keep personal safety in mind.
