Altstadthotel Wienecke
Visitors praise the Wienecke for its very personal and friendly service, cleanliness, and good location. However, some guests found the rooms and bathrooms to be small and dated, and the WiFi was noted as being intermittent.

A solid, simple hotel without frills, but clean and inviting in a very good location. Its major advantage is the very personal attention given during the stay and the excellent, outstanding service.
Super friendly staff Very clean
Warm and welcoming service in a small hotel with retro chic and 80s charm! I had a large, spacious double room with a small bathroom. I was very pleased to find the tissues and hygiene bags provided. Everything was spotlessly clean! The breakfast for €10 is fantastic. Everything you could possibly need for a great start to the day is there and more. You can choose between something from the automatic coffee machine or freshly brewed filter coffee in your own little thermos. I even got a freshly cooked egg, even though breakfast time was already over. Breakfast is served from 7 to 9 a.m., but you can also order a late-night snack in advance. :) An absolutely wonderful place in Braunschweig's old town. It's a 20-minute walk to the main train station, or less than 10 minutes by public transport. I'll be back!
Upon arrival, I received a very friendly welcome and was provided with helpful information tailored to my needs. The room is quite dated but very clean. Unfortunately, the TV only received a very limited number of channels, and those that did were spread across a large number of slots. This made the TV unusable. Even pointing this out didn't change anything. A real shame. And the mattress is definitely past its prime!
Everything's great, except the WiFi is intermittent. Administrator, please address this if you see this review.
