Make sure you get your deposit back. During Carnival, they were giving out plastic cups with a €1 deposit. If you ordered more, they sometimes charged you the deposit again, even though you'd returned empty cups. The staff wasn't exactly friendly either... more like arrogant. There are nicer bars in Cologne with friendlier people.

Always worth a visit when in Cologne. Unfortunately, it gets very crowded and cramped on some days, making it difficult to order at the counter. On our last visit, the cage was already occupied by a green, decorated plastic companion.
