The Bucheneck rest area on the A6 motorway near Mannheim (between the Walldorf interchange and the Wiesloch/Rauenberg exit) is a long-standing gay/bi cruising spot, documented for years in German gay guides such as planet-randy and gaymap. Activity is most likely in the evenings and at weekends, and picks up in the warmer months. As with any outdoor cruising area it is informal and unsupervised.
