The Dean Dublin

We have stayed in the Dean twice before and both times had a good experience, but the one we had this weekend makes me confident we won’t be back. We’ve realised we were lucky to get a room on the quiet side of the hotel the last two times. If you’re facing the front or at the side that faces on to a club including the smoking area, you won’t get any sleep. Really loud music until 4am and even with the cheap ear plugs they provided we didn’t get a wink of sleep. Very disappointing for what was supposed to be a relaxing night away and we expected more for paying £250 for one night. We also had to ask to switch rooms when we first checked in as the sink was literally covered in dirt. The room was newly painted but the bathrooms seem to be very tired and need updated. We won’t stay again.

Location is perfect of course but everything was mediocre. Most difficult part was AC barely cooling the room, I had a hard time sleeping. Bathroom was a bit outdated, sink had a big stain which can't really be cleaned and entire sink will have to be changed. No shower cap, vanity kit etc in room, just shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They dont clean and tidy up room until you ask. There was no iron in room but they provided when I asked. Gym, pool, locker rooms were good, we used it while our room was getting ready. Overall, I would not stay here again, specially since there are so many other hotel options in this area

Very quiet compact room in the back section. Not at full capacity at the moment so felt very private with great facilities. Could walk everywhere.

This hotel is located next door to a very popular night club. Every night at 4 am it empties into the street and people are shrieking and cars are honking for at least an hour. You will not get sleep here. It was absolutely miserable. Oh and the bathroom sink barely drains.

I stayed at The Dean Hotel last weekend with my partner while we were in town for a concert at the 3Arena, and I can honestly say the experience exceeded all expectations. To start with, I had accidentally booked the wrong date (not the best way to kick off a trip), and I was absolutely convinced we’d be stuck trying to find somewhere else last minute. But from the moment we arrived, the staff handled the situation with such calmness, understanding, and genuine kindness that it completely turned things around. They didn’t make me feel awkward or stressed about the mistake at all—instead, they reassured us right away and went out of their way to sort everything. I really can’t emphasize enough how incredible the team was. Every single person we interacted with was warm, patient, and genuinely eager to help. It didn’t feel like they were just doing their job—it felt like they actually cared about making sure we had a good stay. They were friendly without being overbearing, professional but still very personable, and they made what could have been a stressful situation feel effortless. Because of them, what started as a bit of a panic turned into such a relaxed and enjoyable stay. The atmosphere in the hotel was great, and knowing we were being looked after so well made the whole weekend even better. We left feeling genuinely grateful for how we were treated. It’s rare to come across that level of hospitality, and it really made a lasting impression. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone—especially if you want somewhere with not just a great vibe, but a team that truly goes above and beyond.

I stayed at The Dean with my wife and 9mo old daughter. The room we booked was smaller than we expected, but when we mentioned this to the staff, they quickly moved us to a room with space for a bassinette at no charge. Our room was beautiful and quiet, even on a Friday and Saturday night. Will be back.
