Very nice hotel with a lot of history

We had a wonderful time, the staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The hotel is very centrally located, close to the escalators that lead directly to Perugia's underground and historic center. Highly recommended.

Really nice 7 day stay at Hotel Iris. The owner Miri and his sons Artin and Armin have been incredibly kind. Staff were incredibly kind and facilitative as well. Clean rooms, helpful people and they also speak English! Highly recommended!

We booked one night the week before Easter. The location was excellent, a 5-minute walk from the historic center. The room was retro, whether you like it or not is subjective. The reception was friendly and helpful.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this time I really hope I can help others avoid making the same mistake. My partner and I, with a two-year-old child, needed to spend a night in Perugia. I used Booking.com to search for a property available for the night of Saturday, March 15, 2026, with departure on Sunday. I found this property available. I called before booking online to check the availability of a crib for the little one. I received the phone call from Mr. Miri Artin, a rascal, kindly suggested I do everything via email and add a cot for €10, which we didn't even use because it was so dirty we had to keep our son in the bed with us (three of us comfortable on a broken bed). She sent me the photos on WhatsApp (well, they're good at taking photos). The blanket full of hair and stains certainly weren't visible, nor was the window without shutters. The street noise, the dirt, and the stench of that apartment weren't visible, no. When I told her that evening that the conditions weren't good at all and asked if she had availability at her other hotel called "Hotel Iris," her response was, "I sent you the photos of what the apartment looked like." She charged us a whopping €135 a night (she made us pay in advance before seeing the apartment in person at check-in at the Hotel Iris reception) plus €10 for parking, which at least was the best money we spent. We had a sleepless night, literally, and as soon as morning came, we had to take painkillers and run away. We felt cheated out of our money and mocked, tired, angry, and disappointed...a weekend ruined for people like them who don't give a damn about the people who come there...just cheat them and nothing else matters! The only redeeming feature is its central location...otherwise, it's TERRIBLE. From the paltry breakfast to the tiny, noisy rooms...DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE.

We stayed in the apartments. The space was excellent, the cleanliness was very good, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent. And last but not least, there was on-site parking...all at a great price.

Hotel in the ZTL area. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. The rooms were modest, located in a historic tenement building. Parking is available at the hotel. The location is good. A modest breakfast is available as an option. The location is excellent!
