La Calle de Bruselas

An exquisite experience in Plaza de la Merced. If you're looking for the tranquility of old-fashioned Málaga, this is the place. At Café de Bruselas, we enjoyed a peaceful terrace and impeccable, friendly, and elegant service. Wine: El Montecastrillo, served chilled and perfectly chilled. Food: The pork loin in lard is a must-try, and above all, the tuna tataki with a soy, orange, and jasmine sauce is pure magic. A corner with its own unique atmosphere and a service that's hard to find these days. Highly recommended!

Good place for a drink. Spacious and well-stocked terrace. Several types of beer.

I'm 60 years old and I've been going to this place my whole life... Imagine my surprise when a couple of days ago I went with some friends for a coffee and they told us no, that if it was just a coffee, they wouldn't serve us, that the tables were for eating... The place was full of foreigners, some were just having a beer, but they wouldn't serve us, as Spaniards and locals. Like I said, I've known this place forever; from its early days, it was a place with a "lively atmosphere"... It's a disgrace that they refuse to serve you. We didn't file a complaint because we didn't want any trouble or to argue; they would have deserved it. I'll never go back.

We've been frequenting this establishment for 30 years; it's like a second home to us. It's wonderful for an aperitif, an afternoon drink, a meal, a cocktail, etc.
