Stay KooooK Bern City

Perfectly located in the city center. The electronic system takes a little getting used to, but it's all easily manageable. The staff is extremely good and helpful. The room could have been a bit bigger, but it had everything you needed, including a very comfortable bed. The rooftop terrace is fantastic with a great view. There's also a large living area with cooking facilities. Highly recommended!

The location is excellent for exploring Bern's charming old town. Yes, the rooms are very small; you practically have to walk sideways to get to the other side of the bed, but the furnishings are functional and good for the price. The rooftop terrace offers fantastic panoramic views. What I missed was a reception desk that could answer questions or help in an emergency. The purely online approach isn't for me either: if your phone battery dies, you can't get into your room, and having to upload your ID during online check-in makes me a bit uneasy. I travel a lot, but I've never been required to provide a copy of my ID before, not even in Switzerland. Nevertheless, it's a recommendable hotel/hostel for a short trip. However, I wouldn't recommend parking in the "Metro" parking garage, even though the entrance is practically right outside: 40 francs for 13 hours (overnight) is quite expensive.

We have to leave a positive review for your staff-the most excellent hosts to very welcoming accommodations, great hang out spaces and well equipped kitchen. But it is your hosts that make Stay Kook shine. They are responsive, communicative, personable, happy people that clearly enjoy their jobs. A special shout out to host Jennifer that went above & beyond her call of duty to support us during my husband’s health crisis. She was kind, resourceful & understanding all while being professional and so very human. In a world full of apps and AI, it is refreshing to feel connected to people that truly care. The best choice I could have made in Bern. Everything is very modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. There's a common area with a full kitchen, coffee, water, and other conveniences. Check-in is a little difficult as it's all electronic; those who don't understand much might find it challenging, but during business hours the staff are very helpful.

The room is tiny, but it has all the basics. Drawers or something to organize clothes would be a nice touch. The common areas are top-notch, and the online customer service is excellent.

Very comfortable, very professional. When you come to Bern, look no further. Ideal especially for young people and those with a youthful spirit.

Okay… We chose the hotel at the last minute because of its location and good rating, but honestly, the room itself, for the price paid… Considering we paid the same amount in high-end hotels, this one surprised us. The room, priced above 200 CHF, didn't have a television or a kettle (though there was one in the shared area). The toilet didn't have a lid, and the bathroom was completely flooded – I almost fell in after my husband showered. Furthermore, I had to use a hand shower because the showerhead kept shutting off, and I couldn't use the hairdryer because the plug wouldn't stay in the switch. The online key system is a bit of a hassle; sometimes my battery died and I was locked out, haha, but it happens. Later I saw they could get a card. It's worth it if you want a well-located hotel. I also liked the fact that they had free coffee and water. The service was good, and the room was clean – something I always pay close attention to. But for someone who doesn't like hassles, I found the situation a bit excessive, or maybe I just had bad luck.

It's also close to many restaurants, cafes, and major tourist attractions. The rooms are clean, modern, and well-designed, giving a comfortable, homey feel. I especially loved the common area, The Flat, with its kitchen, lounge area, and relaxing atmosphere – perfect for a restful stay. The rooftop terrace has stunning views, especially in the evenings. The staff provided excellent service, and the check-in process was convenient and modern. Overall, it's a great hotel for both exploring the city and enjoying a relaxing vacation.
