We went with the family for afternoon out, great place for the children, splash pool, skate park, field, seating, toilets, small shop. Well woth a visit.
A really big park - plenty of play areas for children but it also contains Guilford Model Engineers Railway tracks A superb layout with very friendly staff and lots of steam engines. Really excellent quality of many gauges
great mini golf well maintained
Fantastic for a family day out lots to do for the kid's . Get their early as parking can be a nightmare . Take a picnic you can spend the whole day there . The only thing that lets it down are the public toilets they are awful the council really need to look into it . Dirty no toilet paper no soap to wash your hands .
Wow, I came here with my gf in may (not for first time) but we loved it. The field is amazing, and very peaceful and full of colour! The park is very good quality, use to go there in lockdown. The tennis courts are deer but very nice! The paddling pool is great for younger ones in summer, if you’re a parent with a 3 year old doing nothing on a summers day, I’d recommend this without thinking. I go on night hikes there with scouts, went there with school once and multiple times when I was little for the padding pool with my mum. I love it here and it’s even good solo. One word what’s my favourite part about this place.. sunsets. When you sit on a bench near the hill, and watch the sun set, it’s like it’s out the game fire watch. I love it there, highly recommend for all ages!
Great park with fantastic free splash pool for young kids. My daughter had a great time here. The cafe was nice. Parking is a bit difficult but we managed to find a space.
We visited Stoke Park, grandparents parent and 2 little 5 year olds, for a picnic after an energetic time at the exciting swimming pool. But what a park! We picnicked, flew kites, played ball, played in playpark, paddled and had terrific fun in the paddling pool nearly all afternoon, ate ice cream, drank tea, all set in the most beautifully planted and cared for gardens. I didn't know parks could be this good. Well done, Guildford. The kids fell asleep as soon as their heads touched the pillows. Result!!
Nice park good kids play park equipment. Large open green spaces too. A nice cafe close to kids play park serving nice food and drinks reasonably priced. It was a shame the duck pond was closed off for our visit.
Visited for parkrun. Parked in the Leisure centre opposite which is free. The park is large and undulating. OK spot for a picnic. The traffic lights in the road back to Guildford are awful. You will spend a lot of time in a queue.
I took my grandchildren (7 & 10) to the open air paddling pool. They loved it. The park is very well kept, clean and tidy. There were a few shaded areas to sit, we took a picnic, there are toilets and a playground near the pool. A nice Icecream kiosk at reasonable price. I would recommend to get there early or after 4pm when people are making thier way home. There is a free car park but it's quite small. No parking in nearby streets as all permit holders only. I would definitely visit again.
