All this Travel lodges problem they sell the room also they sell parking aswel and some of them they dont have internet and you need to connect their wi-fi and you need to pay.
Staff are superb friendly helpful lovely people.
Access in to hotel very badly signed, difficult to find reception from the car park. No signage over the main door even. Paid handsomely for a triple room but the beds were cot beds. WiFi was only free for 30 mins - have never experienced not getting WiFi in a hotel. Beside a busy road but the hotel inside was quiet tbf despite it being full.
Had a great stay at this city centre hotel. Perfect location if you have tickets for the Sunderland empire theatre as it is only a couple of hundred yards away. I liked the ability during the reservation to choose your own room... All be it at a small cost. By chance we chose an end room on the first floor which was great as it was furthest away from the bars on the same street. We do not recall any noise from the outside area at all. Not a huge bed but comfortable all the same, plenty of floor room & clothes hanging space available. Standard bathroom with toiletries included . We chose to book breakfast but realised too late this was breakfast to go, rather than a hot option. A small box hamper including milk, cornflakes, pain au chocolat bottle of water and a flapjack. Cost £5.90 each & would be adequate...but not really what you need if you've taken advantage of the local nightlife the night before! The best part was a 12:00 checkout, perfect for for anyone sleeping off a heavy night. Parking is on a first come first serve basis. Although if the bays are full they will allow you to park and the double yellows as they are inside their grounds. £4.50 an hour or £7.50 for 24hrs. You put your money in the machine outside but must inform reception of your registration plate . All in all a really convenient stay for a night out and we will definitely do it again.
