I'm only giving it one star because of Paulo at reception, who skillfully resolved many of our problems! The hotel is terrible! I recommend staying far away!
My experience was extremely disappointing. I made a reservation at the Nacional Inn expecting to find the quality standard presented at the time of booking, but I was directed to the Dan Inn, which belongs to the same group but has a much inferior structure. The rooms were in unsatisfactory condition, with several apparent signs of lack of maintenance and upkeep. The quality of the accommodation was far below what I expected and what was initially contracted. The situation was so uncomfortable that I chose to change hotels to have a proper stay. I believe that when relocating guests to another unit, the group should guarantee a standard equivalent to or higher than the one reserved, which definitely did not happen in my case. Unfortunately, my experience was very negative and I hope that the management will review both the conditions of the structure and the guest relocation policy.
