One of the worst hotels I have had the displeasure of staying at. The hotel staff and management do not accommodate any issues you bring up during or after your stay. It is definitely not a 4-star accommodation, so beware.

Exceeded expectations

Location and staff are amazing :) Tricky at the bar should run the joint if he wants to! Impeccable customer service with a smile. Our key cards were suddenly useless, locking us out of the PRE-PAID parking lot; therefore, we had to have someone rescue us. Our key cards obviously wouldn't open the room...so off to the lobby we went. Lucky for us, we met Tricky at the bar who then stepped in and offered us a personal escort and entrance to our room. What a guy!!! Top shelf. And very appreciated. He returned a minute later with new key cards for us <3 The hotel itself creates joy and discovery, activations everywhere that made us smile. We played giant connect 4 and PAC Man and ate free gummy worms! One touch that was VERY appreciated was the free coffee in the lobby in the AM...lifesaver. The only reason I gave this 4 stars, not 5, was due to the really bad bed and bedding :( Just a sheet and 2 incredibly thin and uncomfortable "blankets"(I use the term loosely). And what I can only assume is a futon mattress from college. Anyway, would stay again <3 Thank you Moxy!

Really nice hotel and the food was excellent. The staff were pleasant and the overall experience was very good. However, the blinds in the room were not functioning properly, which was disappointing. My biggest concern was the parking garage — it is extremely tight and difficult to navigate. The garage has only one lane for both entering and exiting, and the parking spaces leave very little room on either side of the vehicle. It’s not surprising to see so many scratches and marks on the poles and walls, as the layout clearly creates challenges for drivers. The room card system is flawed. We were able to access our room on the first night, but we couldn’t get out of the parking garage. We waited 4–5 minutes with two cars behind us before security arrived to open the gate. The card is also required to use the elevators. Sometimes it worked fine, but other times I had to tap it several times before it registered — and by then, the elevator had already moved to another floor. By the morning of the second day, neither of our cards would open the room door, so we had to exchange them. Even after receiving new cards, we still had issues at the garage exit, where we needed to tap the card reader multiple times before the gate would open. You may want to follow up with the manufacturer regarding this card system, as it appears unreliable. It almost seems as though the card readers themselves may need to be recharged via USB or serviced regularly. I would stay at the hotel again, but I would definitely avoid using the parking garage in the future.

What stood out was the hospitality of the staff at the bar and reception. They went out of their way to make guests feel comfortable, and the service was excellent and personal. My room was clean, in very good condition, and had plenty of space for luggage (it had a queen-size bed). It was also nice that the air conditioning wasn't directed at the bed. The location is very good, and the hotel is very well connected by bus (there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel entrance). Two different drinks are offered free of charge in the lobby during the day, and there are water dispensers on each floor. The food I ordered at the bar was also delicious. Overall, the hotel has a modern design.

2nd time here, and had a great time. Staff are outstanding. Love the atmosphere. Amazing location, secure parking. Cant knock a free drink with check in!

I want to first say a big thank you to Abigail at the check in counter for the amazing customer service and giving us amazing recommendations for downtown Halifax as it was our first time here. Really enhanced our experience here, she was nothing but cool and sweet! :) We stayed here for a few days and we just checked out at 12pm today. I loved the interior at the lobby and the free lemonade. However, our room could use some minor internal design improvements. We got a double bed at the third floor. For example having a designated trash chute for guests. We ordered room service (best fries ever), walking around the whole floor looking for a trash can to throw our food away. The bins are way too small to fit everything which is ok, it happens. But I find it confusing why there isn’t a place for people to throw away trash. Also the sliding washroom door, it would sway if you try to slide it and would clank onto the wall if you slightly overdo it. Also only one side has a handle. Just today at around 2-3am there was apparently some leakage from the light in the bathroom (see vid below). Leaving the floor soaked with water. Apparently it was due to the room above with our overflowing shower or something along those lines. Though it disturbed our rest, the staff were very friendly and quick to clean up the mess. Either way, had a great time here. Thank you for having us.

Love the underground parking and very cool and clean rooms! Vibes are good !
