Parque Huentitán / Barranca (Cruising)

The wooded edges of Parque Huentitán and the rim of the Barranca de Huentitán, on Guadalajara's northern edge, are among the city's longest-standing outdoor gay cruising areas, documented across local guides (DIVERSO, gaymexicomap). Activity is discreet and word-of-mouth, and picks up in daylight and early evening. Safety note: the ravine terrain is isolated — go in daylight, never alone, keep valuables hidden and be aware of robbery risk. Mexico recognizes same-sex marriage nationwide and Guadalajara is broadly tolerant, but public-decency rules still apply and discretion is essential. The busy, well-lit pedestrian streets around Paseo Chapultepec and the Centro/Zona Rosa are a far safer option for meeting people.
