I am writing this review to help future travelers make an informed decision, especially those traveling with elderly family members or anyone with mobility limitations. Our group booked three lake-view king rooms and arrived at the hotel around 8:30 PM. After completing check-in and paying both the room charges and incidental deposit, we were informed by the front desk that the hotel’s elevators were out of service due to flooding earlier that day. We were then told that we would need to use the stairs to reach our rooms on the 7th floor. Our group included several elderly family members, including someone over 70 years old, and climbing multiple flights of stairs was simply not a realistic option. The hotel offered rooms on lower floors, but even the lowest available room was on the 4th floor, which still required climbing several flights of stairs. What was most disappointing was not the flooding itself—unexpected incidents can happen at any property. The problem was the lack of communication. The hotel knew about the flooding and elevator outage earlier in the day, yet we received no notification before arriving. We were not informed before check-in, nor before paying for the stay. Had we been notified in advance, we could have made alternative arrangements and avoided a very stressful situation. As a result, we had to cancel our stay, leave the hotel, and begin searching for another hotel late at night. By the time we found another property and completed check-in, it was close to midnight. The location of this hotel is excellent, but this experience demonstrated a serious failure in guest communication and accessibility planning. If having a predictable trip is important to you, or if you are traveling with elderly guests, children, disabilities, mobility limitations, or heavy luggage, I would recommend confirming elevator availability before booking or considering another hotel. A hotel cannot control flooding, but it can control how it communicates with its guests. In this case, that communication failed completely.

The view was really good, we had a corner kind facing downtown. However, the room did not appear to be vacuumed and there were scuff marks all over the furniture. The couch was pretty beat up. We did not have water cups in our room. The bed was semi comfortable. The placement of the lobby was all the way on the other end of the hotel and not in the middle, so we had to do a ton of walking. There is no pool or spa and breakfast was not free for Hilton bronze honor members. It’s in a great location and the room is sizeable but I was not all that impressed for a hotel that is only 5 years old… The additional taxes and fees are also high. We were able to walk to just about anywhere, and we got lucky with fireworks right outside of the room for Memorial Day. I’d only recommend for location and view.

You check into a top-notch hotel, I just hate being nickeled and dimed. Ice machine broken skimpy in room coffee service, Not enough cups no artificial no bathroom cups. The ice machine on our floor was broken. I called the help number and got no answer. So I went down to talk to the major d and asked to have ice brought to the room. The answer was go to another floor and do it yourself. Okay down to the rating. Room 7/10 due to the skimpyness. Bed 10 / 10. View 10 / 10. Suitcase receiving gentlemen 10 out of 10.

It was the worst experience. For our May 16-17 trip, we used points and Diamond benefits to upgrade to a premium room. We arrived at the accommodation at 2:40 PM, but were told to wait until 4:00 PM because the room wouldn't be ready. Since check-in was at 4:00 PM, we waited until then. However, even after that, they said the room wasn't ready due to a mechanical malfunction and asked if we would be okay with a standard room instead. When we entered, the room fell far short of the value we paid, so we continued to wait. Eventually, we were only able to check in at 6:30 PM, and as a result, we ended up losing our cruise reservation. It is really infuriating when they offer no compensation and just ask, "We'll let you check in early, do you want a cheaper room?"

Had an excellent stay at the Hilton at Navy Pier. The location was fantastic, but what truly made the experience stand out was the staff and level of service. Everyone was professional, welcoming, and consistently went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. The hospitality genuinely made the trip even better. Would absolutely stay here again when visiting Chicago.

I would choose the hotel again, the view was beautiful and I loved the convenience of being right on the Navy Pier. The bed were uncomfortable though and their restaurant didn’t have good food options had to go over to pier or elsewhere.

We went to the bar at Sable and it was an absolute disappointment. For a place that prides itself on fresh seafood and good service, they completely failed at both. We ordered drinks and oysters. The oysters took over 20 minutes to come out, and by then we had already finished our cocktail and beer. When they finally arrived, they were horribly shucked. Every oyster had large pieces of shell inside, some looked chopped apart, and a few were barely even attached to the shell anymore. I literally had to separate multiple oysters from the shell myself before eating them. This was such a basic order, yet somehow the entire experience became frustrating and annoying. What made it worse was the service. Our server, Stewart, only checked on us once, just to say the oysters were “on the way.” When I explained the issues with the oysters, the response I got was “mhmm.” Completely dismissive and uninterested. Bad seafood, bad service, and a terrible experience overall. I’ll never go back, and I’ll absolutely tell anyone visiting Chicago to avoid this place.

Hotel is very nice. Each room has a beautiful view over Navy Piere and lake Michigan. Rooms are comfortable and modern. Staff is nice. You can't ask for a better spot at navy Piere. Only down side is parking cost is 60 a day since you're on the Piere itself but you're going to pay that to park there either way.

Staff is excellent esp manager Mayte. My mom had a great time and said the staff at restaurant was great as well. She found everyone so helpful and she would get lost a lot. She said one of the staff from restaurant even walked her to her room! Gorgeous views!! Valet was amazing as well. Such great service

The view is amazing! 🌆 🏙️ Stay was booked for family coming from London and they were very pleased! It's in the Pier so everything was walking distance.
