Really enjoyed our stay here. It was quiet and relaxing for us. Wish we had a balcony though. Bar service was top notch. If you have kids you may want to book at the Hilton Hawaiian Village as they have children activities and slides in there pool. But if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay close to shops and restaurants I’d recommend staying here

great location and room looks nice on paper, but for a four star hotel i’d honestly expect a bit more. There’s no charging stations by the night stand so you have to charge phones away from the bed area - extremely inconvenient and it’s been a LONG time since i stayed at a hotel without this basic setup, let alone a Hilton 4-star hotel. There’s also no streaming apps. The TVs look like they’re from the 90s. I’m not spending all day in my room, but if my favorite show dropped an episode while i’m staying here I expect to be able to see it?? Again such a basic thing for hotels these days. There are plenty of similarly or better priced hotels nearby with better room conditions. Think twice before you book this one!

I have been very torn about this review because I love the Hilton village in Waikiki. To be fair when I booked the room they did say that the hotel was under construction. I reserved 4 rooms and one was on the 6th floor and they heard constant construction with power tools and banging. This room was supposed to have a balcony but I didn’t end up getting one even though I paid for it. The other 3 rooms were on the 14th floor. One of the rooms had a massive air conditioning leak, the floor was wet and the unit was not working properly. We notified the front desk and they did send someone to replace it. One of the other rooms had a non working phone or electrical outlets. Again it was reported and they did fix it. The last room had no issues. I will report that the rooms that are not updated with the remodel is super outdated. All of the rooms have platform beds so if you have back or neck issues this is NOT the place to stay at all. The rooms are all clean, the staff is friendly, the food is good. The pool and outdoor bar is amazing! Don’t forget about the fireworks every Friday night on the beach! My last comment is for the management. They did do everything they could to make this a great vacation for my family.

We arrived before check in and staff was very accommodating to hold our luggage. Concierge was outstanding, answered questions, gave excellent suggestions and greeted us every day!! Because of them, we enjoyed Island Vintage shave ice - SO GOOD!! The rooms were nice, the beds lower to the floor than I'd like, guessing more Asian style? We had a partial ocean view overlooking both pools. Friday night we had a front row view of the Waikiki fireworks!! Pools were nice, always plenty of chairs chose from and the wings at the Grove Restaurant were delicious! On site paid parking was great and very easy to come and go. Housekeeping was so kind and even if they weren't cleaning your room, they asked if you needed anything or would bring you something right away. Location is great, ABC store very close and lots within walking distance. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you Hilton for an AMAZING stay!!

Great experience! Would be 5 stars except we couldn't get a late check out due renovations. The pools are great! Stayover room service was wonderful! The rooms are clean! Great stay!

I've stayed in many of the Hiltons on Oahu and this one is probably my least favorite based purely on the location. It's on the harbor so not as close to the beach and some of the others.

I had a wonderful experience staying here for my first trip to Honolulu. I traveled solo and this was a great choice for a hotel. My hotel room was clean with a nice shower and city view with good amenities; I also appreciated the closet and shelving space as well as lounge couch and hook racks -- I was able to make this feel really at home for myself on a 6 night trip. The two things to note are the elevator sounds are quite apparent even when you are a few doors from the elevators. While I didn't mind, I can see this potentially being an issue for some people. The hotel also felt like a little bit further of a walk from the beach to have to go around the Hilton lagoon but it is also a more quiet secluded option for travelers. I enjoyed the pool and the happy hour at the barside and there is a decent quiet gym facility too though if you want to stay closer to the hotel. Pool was also decently warm! It is a little further from some of the central Waikiki malls like Royal Hawaiian but closer to Ala Moana than other hotels. I want to shoutout to John at the front desk as well for making me feel really welcome at reception!

We had a fabulous stay in March 2026. We had been to the Modern several times before it became a Hilton Vacations Club location, so we were pleased that many of our favorite parts of the property were intact. SERVICE: The staff at this hotel truly made our stay wonderful. Austin Tamayo specifically was so helpful and kind, providing us with amazing recommendations for spots around the island. The front desk manager was also incredible throughout the stay. From the pool guys to the concierge staff, we will return because of the staff! ROOMS AND SPACE: Rooms are on the smaller side but always very clean and fresh feeling. The beds are pretty hard and not super comfortable, so do keep that in mind if you're a sensitive sleeper. There is a small business center-esque area by the lobby where there are 2 computers and a printer in addition to a section of small tables with outlets nearby. I had to work during the trip and this did the job! ACTIVITIES: Be sure to sign up for the free activities with the concierge. I enjoyed sunrise yoga, but there are also lei making and hula classes that would be fun! POOLS: My favorite part of this hotel is the pools. I love that there are two pools - the main pool and the quieter adult only pool on the upper deck. We were always able to find a spot at either one. LOCATION: Location is fabulous and convenient. Right across from an ABC store, walking distance to restaurants and shops, and a quick bus ride to Ala Moana (get a Holo card). You're also in the perfect place to watch the Friday night fireworks above the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Definitely not up to Hilton standards. I would never stay here or recommend it.

1. Building entrance did not have a ramp. We had to carry our heavy luggages up the stairs 2. Old infrastructure. Definitely not “Modern”. The room windows are so thin and absolutely not sound proof at all. At night it gets a lot noisy from crowd and revving cars. 3. Minimal amenities. The toiletries they provide is minimal (usual shampoo lotion conditioner). I expected more than this from Hilton. We booked via our timeshare program with Hilton. We were not expecting this quality. Last year we stayed at Hyatt Regency which was 100% better than this…
