Vanguard Theater Company

Vanguard Theater Company is a Montclair theater company built around a mission it calls DREAM — Diversity, Reciprocity, Education, Activism and Mentorship. Operating from a second-floor space on Bloomfield Avenue, it stages productions and education programs that foreground underrepresented voices, including LGBTQ+ stories, and partners with local community groups. It is a cultural venue rather than a bar or club, and a good example of how Montclair's queer-friendly life is woven through its arts scene.
