We've stayed here many many times. My daughter lives a block away. The location is super close to the subway, the rooms are spacious for NY and within walking distance to many great destinations. Employees are super friendly and helpful.

The location is superb. Easy access to the subway, stores and to the Bridge. The hotel itself reminded me of my college dorm. Mid century modern furnishings that look tired, not a lot of amenities and people in hoodies with their macbooks. Lamp broken in our room, wifi went down for a few hours, room service that I had to go down to the restaurant to collect, and genuinely whilst the staff were lovely I just couldn’t love the place itself.

Best hotel hands down! Cozy, friendly and trendy!

Great location in Brooklyn and the industrial vibe is fun.

Went for a bday celebration. Approached the bar area (The Lobby) with about three bartenders working. We were not greeted by ANYONE. We had to make it known after 5-7 mins of just standing there. My biggest issue was the woman who was focused on her flair moves rather than being pleasant or even acknowledging our existence. From the moment we got there she ignored us completely even after she finished making drinks. I mean we were smack dab in front of her. After being frustrated with the lack of service and straight rudeness from the bartender(s), we decided to leave. But before we did we tried to ask the nicer waitress if she could help, that’s when the woman bartender comes over to half heartily ask if we were “being helped.” Knowing that we weren’t and the waitress couldn’t make cocktails. A complete mess. I will not be returning which is unfortunate because the DJ was providing the right vibes. This happened on 05/29/26 after 8pm

I was very disappointed with my stay at Ace Hotel Brooklyn. As a branding designer, I had long admired Ace Hotel as a brand with a strong identity and a thoughtful sense of place. I chose this property expecting an authentic Brooklyn experience that matched the brand's reputation. Unfortunately, the actual stay fell far short of that image. First, I booked the ADA Medium room based on listing photos that clearly showed a sofa. The room I was assigned did not have one. When I raised this at the front desk, the staff did not acknowledge the discrepancy or show any real empathy — I felt I had to justify what was a reasonable concern. The service throughout felt indifferent. At checkout, the staff presented the invoice without explaining the charges, and I had to specifically ask for a breakdown. For a hotel at this price point, I expected clearer communication and more attentive service. The in-room bottled water turned out to be $8 per bottle, which we only confirmed after the fact with the amenity staff. A $16.77 charge later appeared on my card, matching two bottles plus tax. After a long international flight and a late-night arrival, being charged for water without clear notice was a poor first impression. The gym was noticeably smaller and more dated than the brand image suggests. The lobby and common areas had a stylish atmosphere, but the overall guest experience did not feel as considered or welcoming as the Ace brand implies. The most frustrating issue was the deposit handling. A $300 hold was placed on my card at check-in. After checkout, the hotel confirmed in writing that the remaining hold was released on April 30, 2026, and provided an approval code. However, as of May 27 — well beyond the 10–15 business day window the hotel itself cited — the full $300 authorization is still active on my card. The hotel's written statement and the actual status of my account do not match, and resolving this has required repeated contact with both the hotel and my credit card company. For an international guest, this kind of unclear deposit handling and lack of follow-through is genuinely stressful. The gap between the Ace Hotel brand image and the actual guest experience here was significant. I would not stay at this property again.

Absolutely incredible- rooms were spacious; staff was incredibly kind and welcoming; room amenities were perfect; highly recommend!

Stayed at the Ace Hotel for two nights for my daughter‘s wedding. It was a great space, in a great location in terms of the wedding venue. In general the hotel was super welcoming. It definitely has a vibe! The room was nice, bed was super comfortable. It’s New York City priced so you have to bear that in mind but all in all, it’s a great choice!

Very convenient downtown location. High quality boutique hotel with a unique environment and chill vibe. Loved engaging with the staff who helped us with a bottle of wine on the house and our late night Insomnia Cookie delivery!!

This hotel would be what I would call a “niche” hotel, and I’m not a part of the niche. It’s a very dim place and almost industrial in nature. I didn’t feel that it was as clean as it could be, either. It was hard to see enough to know if it were clean or not.
