Element by Marriott Hampton Peninsula Town Center

Nice new rooms, in a busy downtownish area. Not upscale, but not run down. No regular cleaning service.

Nice large newly remodeled rooms with the best shower with great water pressure. The complimentary breakfast was very nice.

Smokers delight.

NEVER AGAIN. ROACHES! I’ve stayed here several times before today due to its location. My experience with the staff has always been “meh” but again, location keeps me coming back. It’s extremely close to family and in the center of a town center that other plenty of dinning options and stores. However, this will absolutely be my last time staying here. This visit included two infant children as well! Before showering, as I also do, I sprayed the bed down w/ Lysol but only did the corners this time to avoid the smell with the babies. As I laid in bed after a very long travel day!! I just couldn’t fall asleep and happened to get up to grab my water bottle. Standing next to my bed with my water bottle I see a ROACH crawl from out under the sheets. I had quickly remove my baby from the bed!!! I called the front desk and told them and also demanded a new room. I was not met with an apology or anything just that I could switch my room. At 2 in the morning my husband and I had to move two sleep babies and alllllllllllll our stuff to a new room. Moved to the new room and I am still on alert and extremely uncomfortable because now I feel like something is on!!

Move over, Embassy Suites! Element is a fantastic alternative to the old staple. Unlike the dark, dated ES, Element is bright and contemporary. And the rooms are sleek, spacious, and well-appointed. The front desk staff is always warm and welcoming. Parking is abundant and check-in and check-out are seamless. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it's sorely missing a bar. With that addition, it would be the best hotel in Hampton!

As a loyal Marriott member for the last 6 years, I was extremely disappointed by the front desk service at this property. I called to inquiry about the possibility of an early morning check in due to working night shift as a nurse. The man who I spoke to indentified himself as the general manager, refused to check for availability, was dismissive, and raised his tone when I asked a simple follow up question. While I understand early check in is never guarenteed, there is no excuse for rude or unprofessional communication. This experience does not reflect Marriott's usual standards of hospitality.

Great happy hour and breakfast

Front desk people is always extremely nice and very patient with any request. But the general manager seem to not care even when you go every two or three week with the SAME CLEANING | HOUSEKEEPING ISSUE THAT YOU HAVE. I spent a lot of time here for a work project. Service was great. David was very accommodating to my team. He made sure we were all taken care of. In addition to their great staff, the location si great as there are a lot of restaurants nearby. Finally, the rooms are big. Not your typical hotel.
