Phoenix Hotel

Very nice and very well located!

This is an old Motel that has been somewhat updated. Old lighting fixtures that no longer work still on the wall next to updated light sticks..peeling paint on bathroom walls. Great water pressure..small somewhat heated pool..gated motel..right next to nasty drug & garbage infested neighborhood. What we saw for breakfast was some small cereal boxes & some juice on a shelf in the office. Very clean rooms & area inside the gate. There were added charges that popped up on our CC after we checked out. $28 for parking..we were parked in the handicapped parking..I have a handicapped plate on my car..this is not included in the motel description. The night manager was awesome..very helpful in advising us where to find a place to eat since it was so late. He even moved my car from one handicapped parking spot to another while we walked to find something to eat. We had been at UCSF all day & were a late checking. This is a pet friendly motel. Someone had a small dog & left it in their room while they were gone..this poor little dog barked till after 12:30pm. I'm sure it was scared. But it was annoying..Lots of big beautiful plants inside the gate..

Stayed on a Friday night, quiet, clean and cozy room. The bed was so soft I slept like a king!! Cool location, we uber'd to Castro and got hammered. Even went swimming at who knows what time!!?? Orlando was so nice and I would definitely comeback!!

It’s a vibe. Good eats nearby. Not a place to stay if you’re bougie. I’ve stayed here twice. The staff are super friendly.

Don’t be fooled by the reviews The room had no AC and the front desk said he can do nothing about it and offered me a fan lol

Awesome place to stay, comfy beds, great pillows, friendly staff, super clean, we loved our stay!!!!!

Staff is terrible, got there late and wouldn’t let me check in. Hotel was dirty. Had to move to a different hotel. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place

Wonderful stay

This hotel is magical. Genuinely. I will never stay anywhere else but here when I visit San Francisco again. Beautiful open terrace. Locked and private. Amazing and historic pool. I can’t say enough. Rooms are also fantastic. It’s the perfect stay for a San Francisco vacation.

This hotel is secluded and relaxing. Walls surround the hotel and private. I stayed here once in 2022 and loved it so much. The beds are very comfortable and i will be there this year. I highly recommend staying here if you enjoy your privacy and nobody is allowed to go into the main walk way unless you are staying there. At night the lighting makes it so romantic.

Fantastic hotel! I'm so glad I stayed there. This place is steeped in rock and roll history! The rooms are spacious and beautiful. We also loved the grounds with their lush vegetation and lovely pool. The restaurant was being renovated. We would have loved to try it.
