فندق The Inn at Mattei's Tavern, Auberge Collection

We have stayed here twice now and this Inn does not disappoint. We arrive and don't have to get back into our car until we leave. We can walk into the quaint town for shopping, dining and wine tasting. Staying on the Inn property also offers a lot to enjoy too. Thee Spa Treatments are wonderful. And there are Fire Pits throughout the grounds to sit at during the day, if cold or at night. The food here is fabulous as well as the service.

We visited Mattie's Tavern at Los Olivos over MLK weekend — a sold-out holiday weekend — and you'd never have known it. The property was fully staffed and operating as though every guest mattered and all attention to details were still in place. Atmosphere & Design The decor is stunning and executed with real care — relaxed and inviting. Room design and bedding were absolute perfection. Food and atmosphere were a 10 out of 10, and the ranch hands and pool staff were consistently warm and attentive throughout. Lavender Spa The spa is genuinely lovely — thoughtfully designed and peaceful. It's on the smaller side, which makes it ideal for a solo retreat or couples trip but less suited for a group getaway. On our visit the steam room was unfortunately out of order, and the sauna didn't reach a very high heat. Still, the overall spa vibe is serene and worth the visit. Yoga Class A standout experience — the class was challenging and clearly tailored to whoever showed up that day rather than a one-size-fits-all routine. Bottom Line Overall the warmth, detail, and genuine hospitality shines. Hope to return soon.

I had a great lunch good food

We love visiting Los Olivos but this was our first time staying at Auberge. This place is perfection! Everything is spectacularly clean and pristine. Decor is gorgeous but also homey. Every single person on staff was so incredibly friendly and kind and made us feel so welcome it felt like we were staying at their own home (super nice home!). The pool is amazing with great pool side drinks and food. Fire pits are everywhere so plenty of room for lounging. Can't recommend it enough and if you book with AMEX you'll get a few extra perks!

✨ Little Michelin Magic in Los Olivos! ✨ Today I had the sweetest surprise! I went with two friends to Mattei’s Tavern in Los Olivos and honestly… I didn’t even know where we were going. I asked ChatGPT for a recommendation, and it sent me here… and WOW 🤩 What a discovery! Just a few minutes from Solvang and it feels like stepping into a little piece of magic. The atmosphere, the food, the history, the service — everything was simply beautiful. I’m already planning to come back again and again. 💛 A special thank you to the chefs and the whole team working so hard to make everyone happy (and full!). We did not stay here, but have it on the list to absolutely stay next time!! We actually stopped on our way north and had lunch here and it was EXCELLENT! Our waiter helped us select our perfect bottle of wine for our lunch while we enjoyed the beautiful outdoor patio. Then our lunches were spot on delicious and exactly what we were looking for. The place has a splendid atmosphere and I can't wait to come back!
