We were a large group and Hotel Amalga has been outstanding! They had everything ready that I requested. Check in was smooth and breakfast was delicious. It was a la carte and reasonably priced. Evelyn is the reason our stay was so comfortable. She helped us so many times. Rebecca was also so kind and hospitable. Location is great about 5 minute car ride to downtown parking garage.

We were staying next door but were advised that we could use the bar and restaurant at this resort. You need to access the facilities via the parking lot and take the elevator to the 5th floor. We were greeted by such polite staff who welcomed us in. Tracy who works behind the bar was as good as any server we have ever had before. Her service and conversation was excellent and so helpful. We had an amazing meal and will certainly return before we leave to stay elsewhere.

We were at the Marriott Amalga hotel celebrating our Birthday weekend and what a wonderful experience, that we will never forget! This Hotel and resturant are second to none, from the front office manager John, desk clerks Myra, Evelyn and Rhonda and the incredible resturant staff Tracy, Silvia and of course I can’t forget to mention the Amazing Chef Sam Gallardo, who prepared food that took us to another world. I cannot brag enough… If your looking for an incredible weekend experience, this is the place to go. The Marriott Amalga Hotel in The beautiful city of St Augustine, one of our favorite cities in Florida… We will definitely be back! I applaud Andres Norena the general manager for hiring the staff that work here, great job! I give them 5 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!!!

Rooms are nice but pool area sucks. We literally booked this because of the rooftop pool area. Otherwise, we would’ve booked something closer to the center of St Augustine. The pictures on the website look fantastic with beautiful, great big umbrellas and shades but when you actually get to the hotel, there is no shade at all on the rooftop terrace, So you can’t lie on a Sunlounger or even be in the pool for too long because there’s absolutely no shade and it’s super hot. We were a group of eight, and purposely booked this hotel so we could have an afternoon by the pool, relaxing before we went on our sunset cruise and dinner. When I spoke to the guest service manager and inquired about umbrellas she said they were a health and safety risk and a fire hazard so they were unable to have any outside. I questioned this a couple of times, but she absolutely was not interested. Also, the pool area is much much smaller than it looks in the pictures. So please be aware if the pool area has anything to do with your booking this hotel.

Amazing experience. Room was fresh and new. Very clean Staff were amazing as well. Late check in , yet the kitchen accommodated our requests 15 minutes after close. We will return for a longer stay. Location was a tad dicey, not actually in the historic section.

We are often in St Augustine and will now always book Amalga. The rooms were comfy and modern. The service was excellent - Tracy, Sylvia, Courtney, Mayra, and Jacob - all made us feel special. What a great experience!

Room 425 perfect view , quiet corner , very clean and modern. Andres the general manager super professional and friendly, Mayra front desk a sweetheart. I'll love to come back soon . the bridge detour is just 2 minutes. not a big deal at all .

This place deserves 10 STARS! My family and I had the most incredible time staying at Hotel Amalga. The front desk team made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond for us. They alone deserve the 10 stars; kind, warm, and very genuine people. Evelyn made our stay one to remember. Key take aways: The room was beautiful and fit my family of 4 comfortably (very artsy) The breakfast was yummy (not included, must be add-on) Perfect location! They are a 4-6 minute drive (maybe 15-20 minute walk) from historic downtown. The gym was super cute Parking was easy ($29 not included) We will definitely be coming back and staying with Hotel Amalga again! Thank you to the incredible team!

Uncertain about the rooms. Just went to the bar up top for the view and Tracy and Sylvia took great care of us. Tracy gave me an amazing taste test of some of the best mocktails I’ve ever had and I’ve been off the bottle for several years. She also kept us occupied and entertained for a happy hour and a half. Loved the experience.

I would give this hotel a zero if possible. It was so bad I couldn’t even check in. No one was at the front desk and when someone showed up (15 minutes later) she said she was helping someone else. She helped a man call a car service and he said she could help the next person. I told her my name and she asked it that person was here with me. I said it was me and then she just looked at me and walked away.

We had an amazing time on this overnight trip to St Augustine, only amplified by the amazing staff at Hotel Amagula. Mayra at the front desk was amazing, so welcoming and accommodating. Tracy at the bar was engaging and kept us and the other guests full and entertained. Jason at the valet gives a wonderful first impression when you arrive.

The Hugo restaurant was a great experience. Tracy, the bartender, made an incredible Old Fashioned. Tracy is very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. She knows the menu inside and out. Thank you, Tracy, for an amazing experience.
