IBT's, short for "It's 'Bout Time", has been a gay bar and dance club on Tucson's 4th Avenue since the mid-1980s and is the city's best-known gay venue. It has a main bar, a patio and a dance floor that fills up on weekends. Drag is a regular part of the programme. Our listing has it open daily from noon to 2am, so afternoons are quiet and late weekend nights are the busiest. It sits on the 4th Avenue strip, on the Sun Link streetcar line between downtown and the university. The crowd is a mix of locals and students. Saw a patron get physically assaulted by the door guy outside on the sidewalk after closing last night. The guy was already outside the bar when the bouncer came out pushing and threatening him absolute physical violence and not professional, okay. Absolutely criminal assault and we all saw it. Fire the violent door guy immediately. He will absolutely physical harm someone else again.
