lWorst hotel I've ever been to, rude customer service experience, no one answers the phone, the bathrooms are filled with mold, and the whole building is run down.

It's not for the discerning; the place is old, there's no receptionist, the bathroom is shared, the floors creak, the window blinds are broken, etc. But personally, the experience of staying in and getting to know a typical suburban Boston house was what made it special. Plus, its location is near a lively nightlife area and very close to the trolley station that takes you downtown.

While this is an affordable lodging option in the area, somehow you get *less* than you pay for, particularly in the cleanliness department. My room stank of mold, had stains on the ceiling and carpet, and had two windows that were not sealed properly, allowing the cold (which hovered around 30 degrees during my visit) in throughout the night. The bathroom was equally disgusting, with floors and a bathtub that clearly had not been cleaned in months, and a shower with no shower head. Lesson learned. Will avoid like the plague.

Overall the place is very run down. The blinds didn't function in my room and only went down half way. There was no soap or paper towels in the bathrooms. The bathroom blinds were missing slats and you could see into it from the street. My room was clean at least yet not worth the price. I don’t believe the good reviews especially the 5 star ones are authentic.

Affordable hearty food and the staff is always friendly.

I recently stayed at this property in Boston, and I am writing to express my disappointment with the overall quality of my stay. Unfortunately, the condition of the room and the level of maintenance did not meet even basic expectations for cleanliness and comfort. During my stay, I encountered several issues: - The room was not properly cleaned and appeared dirty upon arrival - The carpets were visibly unclean and poorly maintained - The bed quality was very poor, making it uncomfortable to sleep - The sheets and pillows appeared old and unclean - There was phlegm residue in the wash basin, which was extremely unhygienic - I found hair in the bathtub o both days. No one cleaned it. - The room had an unpleasant smell throughout my stay - Overall, the property appeared to lack proper maintenance

This place is disgusting. When my sister sat on the couch in the check in area a huge whiff of old pee filled the room. The bed sheets had stains and the floors hadn’t been swept or mopped in god knows how long. The tiles were broken in the kitchen and the bathroom. The room stunk like old smoke and must. The pillows were flat as a sheet of paper and they didn’t even have a fitted sheet on one of the beds. Don’t stay here.
