Hôtel Le Lagon, Nouméa proche plage Anse Vata

Our family had a wonderful stay here recently. The hotel facilities were exactly what we needed - pool, gym and sauna were great. Most importantly the staff were always so helpful and friendly from the reception to the cleaning staff to the breakfast crew, each person made us feel so welcome. It was great to meet Tempete too. Our only suggestions would be to add the ability to have a room with two single beds instead of the pull-out couch for more family flexibility plus maybe some dumbbells to the gym.

Perfectly located. Spacious room and very comfortable bedding. The small pool and jacuzzi are fantastic! Visiting with 3 children, the small playground opposite is a real bonus.

The hotel is extremely well located. We arrived relatively early on our flight and the hotel gave us access to our rooms before noon (normally 2 pm). The establishment has everything you need for well-being and comfort (swimming pool, spa, sauna, gym). Thank you so much for the warm welcome!

⭐☆☆☆☆ We don't know if the hotel's management or internal organization has changed, but the service we received was nowhere near the warm welcome and professionalism we experienced during our previous stays. Explanation: As regular guests of Hotel Le Lagon for years, we were particularly disappointed with our last stay and especially with the way our complaint was handled. Upon arrival, we noticed several problems, including dirty cups in the room. We didn't think it necessary to complain, assuming it was simply an oversight. During the night, we encountered other, more serious issues. The air conditioning was leaking continuously, generating a significant noise that prevented us from sleeping properly. We reported it immediately because we were concerned about the noise and also about the risk of the water continuing to leak into the room. We were told that no repairman was available. We also requested different pillows, as the ones in the room were very thick and uncomfortable for us. We know the hotel usually offers several types of pillows, and we had benefited from this during previous stays. This time, the room seemed to be equipped with only one type of pillow. It may have simply been an oversight during room preparation, but when we contacted reception to find a solution, we were told it was too late and no alternative could be offered. The following morning, we even asked the hotel to sign a document confirming that our complaint had been registered. What surprised us most was the management's subsequent response. Each of the reported problems was dismissed. The air conditioning was finally deemed to be working normally, the issues we encountered with the pillows were dismissed, and we were charged 6,200 CFP francs for work on light fixtures when we had simply tried to turn off lamps that were left on. Finally, after several exchanges, management wrote to us stating that their establishment "did not meet our expectations" and suggested we "find more suitable accommodation for our future stays." After several satisfactory stays at this hotel, we did not expect such a lack of responsiveness or such a way of handling a customer complaint. Update following the hotel's response: We have stayed at this establishment on numerous occasions over the years. When we have made comments in the past, it has only been because certain situations warranted it, and these comments have always been addressed professionally. It is precisely for this reason that we returned. We regret that our loyalty is now being portrayed as a series of unreasonable demands. For this last stay, we paid nearly 44,000 CFP francs per night, excluding breakfast, and encountered several difficulties that we attempted to resolve directly with the hotel, first in person and then in writing. We understand that the situation has been challenging for hotels since the events of 2024, but it is precisely in this context that loyal, resident customers should be valued, not simply asked to find alternative accommodation when they report a problem. What we regret most, beyond the stay itself, is the way our complaint was handled and the fact that our relationship as loyal customers has ended in this way.

The service was friendly and pleasant, the hotel is quiet and very comfortable, with access to a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, umbrellas… thoughtful touches, perfect. Thank you very much ☺️

The rooms are clean and the staff provides good service. It's close to the beach, but the breakfast selection is quite limited.

We had a lovely week-long stay at Hotel Le Lagon. The location was central, the staff lovely, and the our toddler enjoyed the fish tank in the lobby. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Great location rooms are great with deck area also Pool spa sauna gym and business centre. Hire bikes at the front of hotel pharmacy roght next door and reataurants around the corner opposite beautifuk beach front all wwithin walking distance. Staff are extremely helpful and freindly

Ideal for everything. Very close to the beach. Sauna, swimming pool, etc.

Super friendly team who really make sure your stay is enjoyable. It's very clean and well maintained. Close enough that you can walk to just about anything, but just far enough from the promenade to feel a little more private and quiet. Really beautiful spot and would have no hesitation staying again.
