The Blue Hotel

I wish there were an option to give zero stars, because this place doesn't deserve even one. Our stay was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. The room was poorly maintained, cleanliness was well below an acceptable standard, and the overall experience fell far short of what was advertised. The service was unprofessional, and every issue we raised was either ignored or handled poorly. This was easily one of the worst hotel stays we've ever had, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My girlfriend and I stayed at a hotel where approximately $3,000 was stolen from the room safe during our stay. We reported the incident immediately, and the hotel assured us they would carry out an internal investigation. Instead of properly addressing the issue, they repeatedly delayed communication, provided little to no updates, and ultimately closed the case without offering any explanation or resolution. Months later, my partner is still trying to get answers, but the hotel continues to avoid taking responsibility. The way this situation has been handled has been incredibly disappointing, and we feel completely let down as paying guests

The blue has exceptional staff, especially a sweet lady called nook- she was very polite, very helpful and it was a pleasure to be staying here with such good staff. I will definitely come back for the hospitality and service. Thank you Nook!

We have stayed at The Blue Hotel before, which is why this experience was even more disappointing. Unfortunately, during our most recent stay, money that had been securely stored in the room safe went missing. What was most frustrating was not just the financial loss, but the way the situation was handled by management. Rather than carrying out what felt like a genuine investigation, our concerns were met with generic apologies, little acknowledgment, and very limited communication. We were left feeling dismissed rather than supported. Looking back, there were several concerns that should have raised alarm bells. On more than one occasion, the safe would not open with our PIN, and reception provided what appeared to be a universal override code to reset it. At the time we trusted the hotel staff, but in hindsight this left us questioning how secure the safes actually are. We reported everything immediately and expected the hotel to take the matter seriously. Instead, we felt the responsibility was shifted back onto us, and our follow-up messages were largely ignored. Whether or not the hotel accepts responsibility, guests deserve a proper investigation and clear communication when reporting something this serious. We understand that incidents can happen anywhere, but how a hotel responds is what truly matters. Sadly, this experience has completely destroyed our confidence in staying here again. We strongly recommend that anyone choosing this hotel avoid leaving valuables or cash in the room safe and take extra precautions with their belongings.

Quiet, comfortable, and great value. The room has all the necessary amenities. Suitable for both men and women passing through Phuket. A good place to stay.

Further to my partners review which was sadly responded to by The Blu with lack of acknowledgement and deflection as what we have dealt with since discovering money to the amount of $3000 AUD had been stolen from our hotel safe/ lockbox upon our stay there . To give more context since now our message thread to the hotel is being disregarded and put back on us and the constant “apologies “ but no actual inquiry or investigation was ever done - taken from the reply that was left on my partners review . $9300 to be exact ( less money that was used for a taxi from the airport to the taxi - was kept in the room safe ) as my partner was using his travel debit card with minimal cash used during our stay in Thailand . Twice our PIN code didn’t unlock the safe and we called reception to notify them of this and both times were given the same four digit code (0000) to override and reset the safe. Strange yes and now reviewing should of been a huge red flag but as we have stayed at the blue numerous times didn’t think to much into it- money that was kept in the safe was in two separate piles so that we could monitor cash we would be taking to exchange ( again now looking back we should of counted this religiously each time we returned to our room as we wouldn’t be in this situation) Upon arrival back to our home money a lot with other documents were put away and it wasn’t until my partner needed cash and counted the money that we had taken to Thailand it was noted that infact money had been stolen - upon discovery we contacted the hotel immediately as well as a friend that was staying in Thailand went to the hotel to speak to the staff - since then we were told that an investigation would be undertaken, hotel staff/ cleaners would be interviewed and CCTV footage reviewed as we gave dates and timeframes when the safe was displaying error messages as this would be able to identify whom had cleaned/ accessed our room on those days . My partner had expressed that our lawyer wanted to lodge a report with the police however due to the fact we frequently stay there and wanted to hopefully sort this out without the authorities and had expressed this to The Blu and were met with them also on the same page ( which we thought was genuine- however now at present realise it was just a tactic to allow more time to pass) even to the point we offered that they could even provide a hotel credit ( all forms of compensation we had listed but had remained firm that we would not let this go as aside from the money being stolen it’s the principle that we have been repeat customers and that staff had voluntarily entered and stolen from our room ) We never wanted to reach the point of getting police involved however it seems by the way this whole situation has been handled we should have done this from the beginning and will now proceed. For future guests planning on booking at this hotel I urge you to do with caution and do not leave valuables in the safe/lockbox and if you do have any issues don’t bother contacting hotel management as they will just give you a fictional story . Truly disappointing and sad that theft is not taken seriously and is deflected back on to the guest for “lack of evidence” so ensure if you stay here you take daily photos of your belongings in the room and make friends with the cleaners so you know their names and work routine . As for the Blue Management- there is no need to write a chat gpt response I am simply raising awareness and context to what happened to us .

THEFT AND DECEIT- a large sum of money was stolen from my room safe ($3000 AUD) - hotel was notified and still nearly a month later no resolution just time delays in them stating they are undergoing an investigation. What is more upsetting is I have stayed at this hotel a number of times which they are aware of and they couldn’t care less in identifying which cleaner stole MY MONEY.

Location is not good. Also they will not refund. Better options nearby for same price.

I recently stayed at the Blue Hotel and can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, every member of staff was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely committed to making my stay enjoyable. A special mention has to go to Nook, who looked after my room. She was absolutely outstanding. Her attention to detail was incredible, the room was always spotless, and she was consistently polite, cheerful, and professional. Every day she greeted me with a smile and made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. Staff like Nook are a huge credit to the hotel and make all the difference to a stay. The hotel itself was fantastic, with excellent service throughout, a great atmosphere, and a team that clearly takes pride in what they do. It’s rare to find a place where everything exceeds expectations, but Blue Hotel certainly did. I enjoyed my stay so much that I’ve already decided to return in a couple of weeks. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Thank you to the entire team, and especially to Nook, for making my stay such a memorable one.

I was very pleased with the full duration of my stay at the blue hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, especially Nook. Nook was extremely proactive and displayed care towards my stay and was happy to help with any requests and needs I had. She also would not cut any corners when cleaning my room and keep it to a good standard. Overall my stay at the Blue Hotel was above standard and I will be back.

Good hotel with great people. Aom-am and i’tim especially are very kind and helpfull. Every time i see one of them its always a sawadeekap with a great smile :). Say hi to them from tony if you see them :). Hotel room is very clean. Roomservice is fast. For me, everything was 100% good. Thank you for this people to have me here. Thanks for the service and thank you for the smile you guys give me :). Especially for this day when im leaving thailand. Im leaving thailand with a big smile thanks to this guys.
