Midsumma ist Victorias bedeutendstes LGBTQIA+-Kunst- und Kulturfestival, das drei Wochen lang (Januar–Februar) in Melbournes inneren Vororten stattfindet. Mit über 100 Veranstaltungen aus Theater, bildender Kunst, Comedy, Sport und Nachtleben ist Midsumma weit mehr als eine Pride-Parade — es ist eine vollständige Kultursaison. Das 1988 gegründete Festival zieht über 250.000 Teilnehmer und spiegelt das gesamte Spektrum der LGBTQ+-Gemeinschaft Melbournes wider.
