Über dieses Event
Taiwan LGBT Pride ist das größte LGBTQ+-Pride-Event Asiens und zieht jährlich weit über 100.000 Teilnehmer*innen in die Straßen des zentralen Taipeh. Seit Taiwan 2019 als erster Ort Asiens die Ehe für alle legalisierte, ist das Event zur Feier erreichter Gleichstellung geworden — Forderungen nach verbleibenden Schutzlücken bleiben Teil der Agenda. Die Parade startet typischerweise auf dem Ketagalan Boulevard vor dem Präsidialamt, windet sich durchs Zentrum vorbei am Hauptbahnhof Taipeh und durchs Zhongshan-Viertel, mit Wagen, Marschgruppen, Auftritten und einer Atmosphäre außergewöhnlicher kollektiver Freude. Die Pride-Woche umfasst Dutzende Community-Events: Partys, Filmvorführungen, Podien, Kunstausstellungen, Kulturauftritte und die viertelweite Verwandlung Ximendings in eine Pride-Festivalzone. Internationale Gäste sollten Unterkunft Monate vorher buchen. Termin meist letzter Samstag im Oktober oder erster Samstag im November; konkretes Datum 2026 auf der offiziellen Taiwan-LGBT+-Pride-Website.
