גאוות טייוואן היא אירוע הגאווה הלהט"בי הגדול באסיה, מושכת הרבה מעל 100,000 משתתפים מדי שנה לרחובות מרכז טאיפיי. מאז שטייוואן הפכה למקום הראשון באסיה ללגיליזציה של נישואים חד-מיניים ב-2019, האירוע קיבל ממד נוסף כחגיגה של שוויון שהושג ולא רק כדרישה לזכויות — אם כי סנגור לפערים שנותרו בהגנה החוקית נשאר חלק מסדר היום. המצעד יוצא בדרך כלל משדרת Ketagalan מול משרד הנשיא, מתפתל דרך מרכז העיר על פני תחנת הרכבת המרכזית של טאיפיי ודרך אזור Zhongshan, מלווה במצופים, קבוצות צועדות, הופעות ואווירה של שמחה קולקטיבית יוצאת דופן. שבוע הגאווה הסובב מקיף עשרות אירועי קהילה: מסיבות, הקרנות סרטים, פאנלים, תערוכות וההפיכה של רובע Ximending לאזור פסטיבל גאווה. מבקרים בינלאומיים צריכים להזמין לינה חודשים מראש. התאריך נופל בדרך כלל בשבת האחרונה של אוקטובר או הראשונה של נובמבר.
