Key West Bear Weekend ist ein fünftägiges Bären-Treffen Ende Oktober, das auf Halloween fällt und direkt im Anschluss an Fantasy Fest stattfindet. Der Hauptstandort ist Island House, das nur für Männer zugängliche Resort in der Fleming Street; die Tickets werden über The Bear Mag verkauft.
Die meisten Tagesaktivitäten finden im Island House statt: die Bear Soup Pool-Partys, ein nachmittägliches Hats & Hoses Event unter dem Motto Feuerwehrleute, Happy Hours sowie ein Rocky Horror Dive-in-Film am Pool. Die Nächte verlagern sich auf die Duval Street und deren Umgebung, mit der Jocktober Party im Bourbon St Pub und Bad Bear im Saloon 1 in der Petronia Street. Neu für 2026 sind Bären-Yoga, eine kleine Craft-Cocktail-Tour und eine Bootsfahrt mit BluQ.
Praktische Hinweise: Das All-Access-Pass deckt alles außer den Zusatzangeboten ab. Ein Tagespass für das Island House kostet $50, einzelne Eintrittskarten liegen zwischen $10 und $20. Die Bootsfahrt wird direkt bei BluQ gebucht. Die Zimmer im Island House waren bis August nahezu ausverkauft.
Die Ausgabe 2026 fand vom 28. Oktober bis zum 1. November statt, mit der Abschiedsparty am Sonntag im Island House. Die Termine für 2027 waren zum Zeitpunkt unserer Recherche noch nicht bekannt gegeben worden.
