Key West Bear Weekend è un raduno di cinque giorni dedicato ai bear a fine ottobre, pensato per cadere su Halloween e seguire subito dopo Fantasy Fest. La base operativa è l’Island House, il resort riservato agli uomini in Fleming Street, e gli abbonamenti sono venduti tramite The Bear Mag.
La maggior parte delle attività diurne si svolge all’Island House: le feste in piscina Bear Soup, un pomeriggio a tema pompieri chiamato Hats & Hoses, happy hour e una proiezione immersiva in piscina del Rocky Horror Picture Show. Di sera ci si sposta su Duval Street e nelle vicinanze, con la festa Jocktober al Bourbon St Pub e Bad Bear al Saloon 1 su Petronia Street. Novità del 2026 sono lo yoga per bear, un piccolo tour dei cocktail artigianali e una crociera in barca con BluQ.
Informazioni pratiche: l’abbonamento completo copre tutto tranne le attività aggiuntive. Un pass giornaliero per l’Island House costa $50, mentre i singoli ingressi vanno da $10 a $20. La crociera in barca va prenotata direttamente con BluQ. Le camere dell’Island House erano quasi esaurite già ad agosto.
L’edizione 2026 si è svolta dal 28 ottobre al 1° novembre, con la festa d’addio all’Island House domenica. Quando abbiamo verificato, le date del 2027 non erano ancora state annunciate.
