The services were all great value for money! However, people were noisy taking calls and not turning off alarms which was super annoying… Loved the location, the basic rooms and the bathrooms were clean.

An unusual hotel, far from the 2026 standards, worth discovering and to which you will naturally return.

Nice prison experience

Soundproofing: You can hear noise from the street. The ceilings of the rooms are connected for fire safety reasons, so the noise level depends on the other guests on the same floor. The guests were very well-behaved and spoke softly during my two nights there, but there was construction on the street outside, so I wouldn't recommend it for light sleepers. I suggest bringing your own earplugs and eye mask (my room was right by the window, so it was very bright in the morning). Cleanliness: The areas most people will encounter are quite clean, but the floors and corners of the room are quite dirty. Size: I think the room size is sufficient. Besides a single bed, you can probably fit three carry-on suitcases. There are multiple bathrooms, toilets, and sinks, but it's quite cramped. (I'm 172cm/60kg). Shared Spaces: It's quite cozy and spacious enough to chat and do things. There's a basic water dispenser, microwave, refrigerator, tea bags, coffee bags, etc. Safety: There are bars and nightclubs a couple of blocks away, but I felt safe. Staff: The two staff members at the counter and the cleaning staff I encountered were quite friendly. Summary: Suitable for travelers who spend most of their time exploring but just need a place to rest and put their belongings, or who aren't too concerned about sleep quality.

Before booking, ask yourself first if you can manage to stay in a HOSTEL. Most of the reviews here are true, but it is up to you if you want to stay on budget with a lil inconvenience or better for comfort. My experience is fairly okay. I was mostly out while in NY, place to keep my things was a priority and place to get some maybe 3-5hours sleep. Room is extra small. Bed enough to lay down, sheets too thin (winter), carry on luggage can fit in the extra space. Im 5"2' and did not need to curl up while sleeping. Just bundle up when sleeping if too cold. And just maximize your space. It is open ceiling, you can hear anything; slammed door, footsteps in the hallway and the exhaust humming. But, they might purposely opened it for ventilation or fire hazard. If you're a light sleeper, wants comfy bed, and larger space you might wanna skip. As any other places, house rules applies. Be respectful if you wanna others to do the same. Bathroom is communal, every cubicle is tight. I had hard time moving and bending while washing up. Hoping they would put hook for clothes not just for towels. Luckily, I only bump to one or two people every time I use it. Living space is nice, very retro classic. You can really feel the city alive at night. Kitchen is clean, you can heat up your food and store it. Just be creative with finding utensils. Check in and out was a breeze. Make sure your booking is finalized and set. The gals who check in the same time with me had trouble verifying their booking and the reception would and will not be able to help you. Near the subway station, probably 5-10min. Alot of asian food nearby. Neighborhood can be sketchy at night but I once came home 2am and no trouble. Just be vigilant. This is my first hostel, ever. NY is expensive and it was the right place at that time. Will I book it again? Probably no. Did I regret booking it? absolutely no.

Its not a good place to stay for a person respect himself/herself. You hear everything and people are slamming the doors like there are no tomorrows… there is never how water.

Awful sleep every night, people being so noisy. Left a night early to check into somewhere where I can actually get a good nights sleep. Great location though and nice common area
