Abalonia Inn

What an amazing place! The rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The location couldn't be better. You are within walking distance of the downtown shops, the beach, the Marginal Way and plenty of great restaurants, including the Patio just next door.

Stayed here multiple times. Great location. Rooms are clean. Service is always prompt and friendly. What more could you ask for. They do own a bunch of other inns in town now so may have Been bought out. That’s usually the end to a good thing. Time will tell.

Lovely family run business.

The stay was full of issues, starting with the pool. The water was visibly dirty and cold, despite being advertised as heated. When asked if it would be cleaned, a staff member responded with an unprofessional, "Do you know how to do it?" The advertised fire pit wasn't lit on time, and my parents had to ask someone to do it. My parents also met several other guests who had reported similar issues, confirming this isn't an isolated problem. The most serious issue occurred when my mother fell on the unlit pathway on her way back from the fire pit. It was pitch black, and games left on the lawn made it impossible to see. This fall sent her to the emergency room and forced them to leave early. A staff member, Heath, was completely unhelpful when we reported the incident and refused to provide any way to file a claim. The lack of care for guest safety is shocking. After the incident, we made several attempts to contact the hotel via phone and email to file a claim. They initially responded that the report was with their insurance company but then failed to respond to any of our subsequent calls or emails. In an outrageous move, the hotel has even blocked our phone number to avoid further contact. This utter disregard for guest safety and complete lack of accountability is unacceptable.

What a wonderful experience from the homemade treats in the afternoon(poolside service), to the extensive knowledge shared, both by mgr Mark we were blown away by this gem of a getaway.

Charming, updated inn with a prime location steps away from Ogunquit Center

The inn is over 100 years old, so you have charm with some antique aspects. The floors are uneven, and our bathroom door didn’t open the whole way due to floor being too high. Bathroom was tiny- small sink and shower and no counter space. We had a nice private porch, which we enjoyed. Linens, towels and bed were nice and luxe. Window blinds were private but not darkening. So never had dark for sleep. Significant ambient light in the room at night. Breakfast was continental, but adequate. We are used to a full breakfast in another OGT Inn. Afternoon cookies were commercial and we were used to home baked at other OGT inn. Pool and hot tub are nice features. Staff was very nice.

Had a great time spending a weekend at the Abolonia Inn. Marc was incredibly warm and welcoming, making sure we were comfortable. The rooms were clean and as shown in the photos. We loved the location of the inn, a short walk to anywhere we wanted to be. Would definitely stay here again!

Under new ownership. The rooms were just redecorated and have that small cottage feel. This little hideaway is a hidden gem, that's not always so hidden. Easy access to downtown their own saltwater pool and jacuzzi, and a short walk to the beach. See Mark and that the office---he is amazing, and so accommodating!

Mark and the whole staff were amazing!! The location is great and the rooms are comfortable. It was such a great vacation for me and my friends. Very LGBTQ+ friendly!

Came here on a first trip to Ogunquit with several close friends 4th of July weekend. Abalonia Inn was perfect for our group! We had a great access point to getting around the city, everyone on the staff was nice and the three rooms we rented all had enough space for each pair of friends that shared. Mark at the front desk / manager was amazing - kind, caring, and really knew the city and the other locals - plenty of great recommendations and suggestions on how to make the most of the trip. He also helped us quickly fix what could have been a real tricky situation with lodging due to our own booking mistake - truly appreciate how accommodating he was! The pool and the hot tub were nice, as were the firepits and other seating areas - great people watching and also easy ways to get to know the other small handful of folks also staying there more intimately. We were even allowed to use a porch space for a little shindig we were throwing for ourselves and it was much appreciated in making the event special! Thanks again, would definitely stay here when visiting again in the future.
