Sea View Motel

Really nice motel. Can tell they have been or did a lot of upgrades. Room was clean. The hot water was wicked hot. There was a little a/c unit that did its job but couldn't keep the room quite cold enough. The walls are a little thin, heard our neighbors snoring perfusely and other guests stomping around outside (why do y'all walk so loud?) Other than that, great location. Downtown is a short walking distance.

Nice heated pool, short walk to restaurants and shops. Nearby beaches.

Exceptional stay!

Stayed here for 3 days during peak season and had a great time. The hotel is walking distance from most restaurants and is considerably cheaper than some of the alternatives. The staff was super friendly and went above and beyond after I lost my headphones in our room and they shipped them across the country to me, refusing to let me pay them for the shipping or the time it took to send it. Thanks so much, we will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area!

The 5 stars is for Sharee. Helped create the best check in process ever. Answered all of our questions and made us feel at home. She’s super hospitable and will be coming back.

Nice clean rooms, clean lot, extremely friendly staff, comfy beds, and close to downtown.

I strongly advise against going to stay here. It's not very clean, in my bed there were traces of blood, there were even yellow traces on the pillow and a lot of hair. We even saw a suspicious trace of fat in the sheets. The sheets were all wrinkled as if someone had just slept. The floor was not clean, when we arrived there was a ship waiting for us with insects on it. We even had to kill drinks. The front of the door was all broken and dirty. Smell was unbearable. The bath was dirty and when we washed the water went up to our knees. The towels were brown as if no one had washed them for months. Unhealthy, disgusting, unclean. The price is really not affordable for this horrible room. We could not even have a price adjustment. We deserve to be reimbursed. Very disappointed and in my opinion these are the criteria of a 1-star motel.

I can’t imagine the level of effort it takes to clean up after guests in room after room, day after day, and I appreciate it can be a challenge. I must note, however, that the cleaning products used at Sea View set off my asthma, and I could not breathe. The host did try to find us a room where the scent of bleach and industrial cleaner did not pose a health hazard, but to no avail. If guests have lung issues or sensitivities to strong smells, this place is probably not the best option.

Check in was super easy and staff was friendly. Room was overall clean, but had an overpowering sanitized smell to it. You could tell they updated some things..paint, bathroom fixtures, etc. It was all done poorly. The space to hang clothes was a shelf and pole hung on the wall with hangers from the cleaners. The toilet ran and wasn't fixed even after I told them about it. The towels were dingy looking.The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Other than location, there was nothing good about this place.

The sea View is close to everything that is popular in Ogunquit. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and large. Rooms are a little dated. I am glad I found this place. I like being able to walk to the beach and other popular places in Ogunquit. Will definitely stay here again.

This place deserves no star at all. Sheets are dirty. Sink is clugged. Ants in the room. Staff is not even friendly. New owners do not know what clean means.

Initially, checking in was friendly and the location is walking distance to downtown Ogunquit. Our first room had stained sheets that were visible as soon as we walked in the door. The bathroom mirror was spotted with dried on toothpaste or something other. We went back to the front desk and were offered another room. This room was cleaner than the first but had a broken tv that did not work during our entire stay despite false promises that it would be fixed. On our last night, we returned to the room and found the tv to still be broken. By this point, we were done. There were missing light bulbs in the bathroom, loose rocks on the pool deck, loose & rotted hand rails on the stairs, missing paint on the room doors are just a few of the problems here. The saying you get what you pay for is definitely true here. Location is a plus but the lack of attention to property maintenance and amenities really takes away from the experience.
