Der intimere Vorläufer der Folsom Street Fair — Up Your Alley (auch Dore Alley Fair) findet am letzten Julisonntag in San Franciscos SoMa-Viertel statt. In einer echten Gasse zwischen Folsom und Howard Street ist das Event kleiner und community-orientierter als Folsom, behält aber dasselbe Leder- und Fetisch-Ethos. Rund 20.000–30.000 Besucher kommen in einem Raum zusammen, der sich wirklich underground anfühlt. Veranstaltet von der gleichen Organisation wie Folsom Street Fair, kommen die Erlöse LGBTQ+-Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen zugute.

Bring cash for the gate
Up Your Alley runs on a suggested donation at the Dore Street gates and every dollar goes back to Folsom Street Events' nonprofit beneficiaries. Small bills speed up the line.
Go early, stay small
The fair is 11am–6pm on a single South of Market block and it gets shoulder-to-shoulder by mid-afternoon. Arrive close to opening if you want photos, room to cruise, or any chance at the shorter bar queues.
