The intimate predecessor to Folsom Street Fair — Up Your Alley (also known as Dore Alley Fair) takes place on the last Sunday of July in San Francisco's SoMa neighbourhood. Held in a genuine alley between Folsom and Howard streets, the event is smaller and more community-oriented than Folsom but maintains the same leather and fetish ethos. Around 20,000–30,000 attendees gather in a space that feels genuinely underground. Produced by the same organisation as Folsom Street Fair and benefiting LGBTQ+ charities.
