The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu

This time I enjoyed afternoon tea at Sommer House. I haven't stayed there overnight, but it's my favorite hotel in Yokohama. I've stayed there several times, and the pool in the summer is always a lot of fun. The afternoon tea this time was peach-themed and cost around 8000 yen. It's usually crowded, but since it was a weekday, there was plenty of space, and the service was excellent; they came to our table before we even called. Thank you very much. No matter how many times I go, it always makes me feel happy.

I stayed here on vacation, and the location was great, the room was spacious and nice, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. Unfortunately, my flight was delayed, so I couldn't see the Minato Mirai night view from my room. Cosmo Rock 21 turns off its lights around midnight. It was such a shame. It's right in front of the room, so I really wanted to see it at night when the illuminations were on. Complimentary bottled mineral water was provided in the room. The hairdryer in the room was a ReFa brand, which was easy to use and very nice. Also, the shower and tap water temperature control was quite good. Often, you turn off the tap thinking the water is at the right temperature, wash your body and hair, and then when you turn it back on, cold water comes out, but here the hot water came out without much temperature change, which was great. The building is directly connected to Queen's Square, so you can also go to Landmark Tower from there. I think it's a very convenient location. All the dishes at the breakfast buffet were delicious, and some were even prepared right in front of you. I personally thought the curry was quite delicious. The restaurant itself has a high ceiling and glass walls, offering great views and creating a very pleasant atmosphere. If I had to nitpick, it would have been even better if the bathroom had a separate sink and shower area.

The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu is one of the most iconic hotels in Minato Mirai. The hotel boasts a tranquil and elegant atmosphere, offering a comfortable and relaxing stay while enjoying views of the Minato Mirai cityscape and the Ferris wheel. Its location is excellent, making it convenient for sightseeing and shopping. The nighttime views are particularly beautiful, allowing guests to fully experience the unique atmosphere of Yokohama. It's highly recommended for anniversaries or for a slightly luxurious hotel stay.

This time we stayed in a two-bedroom room on the 10th floor. The hotel even added an extra bed for the child, so there was still plenty of space, and we didn't have to squeeze in with the kid 🥰. The hotel is conveniently located with direct bus access to and from the airport, and the entrances on the first and second floors lead directly to the adjacent shopping mall, which helps reduce sun exposure during the hot summer months. This trip with the child was very relaxing, and I hope to come back again during a cooler season.

The location is convenient, but what really stood out was the exceptional functionality of the guest rooms. Everything I needed was placed exactly where I needed it, making it incredibly comfortable and stress-free. Everything at breakfast was delicious, and I was especially happy to find almond milk available since I can't consume dairy products. The chilled drinks in the refrigerator were also complimentary, and I felt that this hotel paid attention to many small details. If you're staying in Yokohama, you can't go wrong with this hotel.

I stayed there with my elderly mother and two young children, a total of four people. The view was wonderful, and everyone was delighted. (I think we stayed in a park view room on the Yokohama floor.) The staff were also very kind and welcoming. We had a great trip in my beloved Yokohama.

We stayed as a family of four (on the 23rd floor). Room: Excellent. Spacious, and the bathroom and toilet were clean. There was a ReFa hairdryer. Whether it was due to the air conditioning or just our room, the door slammed shut with a loud "bang!" which was annoying. The sound echoed in the hallway, so we had to be a little considerate. Also, there was loud footstepping from the floor above...children?? It was quite loud... Service: Excellent. Everything in the room's refrigerator was free (lots of alcohol). The concierge was very polite and helpful. The pool was average, but the staff there were also polite. There was a sauna too. The breakfast buffet was all delicious. I recommend the salmon, ratatouille, and curry. Location: Good. Directly connected to the station. Within walking distance of nearby famous tourist spots (you can even run the Kinmushi Marathon). There were lots of people running on the beach. I regretted not bringing running shoes. There was a XEBIO and a Murasaki Sports nearby, so I could have bought some there, but I decided against it to avoid extra luggage. The one-hour extension on checkout time for members is surprisingly convenient.

I stayed in an Executive Twin Bay View room on the 8th floor. The view was fantastic, but from the 8th floor, you could clearly hear the screams from the roller coasters at the amusement park. It's directly connected to Minatomirai Station, so you don't get wet in the rain, which is convenient.

Regular floor, Bay Club floor. I've stayed in all room types: Deluxe, Executive, Suite, and Connecting Rooms. Considering the price, I personally like the Executive Twin with a Park View the best. Drinking beer on the balcony is the best! (laughs) The breakfast buffet has delicious omelets and a wide variety of dishes, but unfortunately, it's incredibly hot in the summer due to the recent heatwaves! However, in winter, the sunlight streams in, making it warm and pleasant. Hotels with balconies are rare, so I'm grateful and will continue to use this hotel.
