Our family group of 7 (ages 10-65) only had 1 day in Salzburg Old Town. Our 3 hour private guided tour with Elizabeth could not have been more perfect. We hit the major sites on both sides of the river, and she was able to satisfy my desire for historical information while also keeping the children engaged. They were particularly excited to see the Sound of Music scenes, and we even had time to ascend to the fortress where we had a nice lunch. I would highly recommend this tour!
Wouldn’t recommend this tour. It was the most expensive tour on our trip and a waste of money. There was no excitement from our guide and we felt the whole tour to be a little down. Most of the places we got taken too where not open. I get that it was a public holiday but there was no discount on the price for this tour given the fact you missed out on a lot. And the fact that the tour guide also didn’t no they where closed doesn’t say much for the knowledge of what’s going on in the area. Up in the castle that had a once in a year advent on and instead of telling us what was going on all we heard about was for the third time what the roof tops where down bellow. We choose to cut our tour short and do it on our own which we seen more that way.
Hi, my girlfriend and I were here for the first time this week !!️ It is a very nice market and very spacious, meaning there is enough space in the aisles to run and look 🥰👍🏾🥰 The flair with the castle and the cathedral is of course very nice...... Otherwise actually like any market 🎄🎄🎄🎄 So look and see !!️‼️
It's always a pleasure to go to Salzburg!!! Beautiful buildings, history, life. I recommend everyone to visit this magnificent city.
Made some good discoveries, with very friendly owners. But unfortunately the list also includes some companies that either do not (want to) accept the enjoyment pass or arbitrarily change the stated conditions for receiving a bonus in their favor. Sometimes extremely unfriendly. Dear distributors of the Genusspass, please do more research, otherwise you will quickly lose the desire to visit other businesses. You are not a supplicant, but have purchased the enjoyment pass. Conclusion: Too expensive for what is on offer.
Beautiful experience from Vienna by train, the Salzburg market is an experience worth having for the place and the atmosphere you can breathe, I recommend a visit to Furst for the famous Mozart balls nearby.
We took the train from Schliersee and arrived just after dark. The lights were so festive and Christmasy. The weather was cool and crisp, and the new fallen snow surrounded the area. Kids were ice skating on the manmade rink on the edge of the vendors. We found the vendors to be very pleasant and very conversational. Which is great, especially given that my German consists of 10 words. We always enjoy a few minutes on the lock bridge as we walk towards the market. Always amazed at how long people have been hanging locks there. I highly recommend taking a stroll through the market and enjoying some great food. Try the handmade pizza. Delicious.
I mistakenly made my tour reservation for the incorrect day and realized just before the tour was scheduled to begin. I called Mikaela to explain the mistake and she was so kind and refunded us the money. I was we could have participated in the tour, but our schedule did not allow it. I will 100% book again when we return to Salzburg!
Our family LOVED this afternoon of eating yummy treats as we walked around the old town and learned a bit about Salzburg — and guide Michaela was fantastic, and she even found away to adapt the menus for our son who needs to avoid gluten. She took us to places we wouldn’t have found on our own. We ended at a great restaurant for “appetisers” which were plenty for dinner. Really well worth it!!
Salzburg Experience is a really good poin t to visit if you are in Salzburg and have a free time. It is worthy
