Fleur de Ville

When I think of Bruxelles I think of fleur de ville before anything else. The hotel defined my entire stay. From the stunning rooms to the incredibly welcoming staff (Abu, Lou, and the man with the facial hair specifically). The location is the epicenter of the city, from food to nightlife to the breath taking architecture. was able to stay here two seperate times during my stay in Belgium and my only regret is that I couldn't stay for longer. I will be planning my return soon, the hotel made Belgium one of my all time favorite trips. Thank you for the hospitality.

The staff is great, the location perfect, the atmosphere peaceful. The only downside is the soundproofing between the rooms and the hallway (access doors to the rooms) which leaves something to be desired.

This hotel is fantastic! The staff were incredibly nice, polite, and friendly, and they even helped me with my tax refund form. The room amenities were top-notch, and they even brought a small snack to say goodnight. The location is very convenient, the mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom had great water pressure. Everything was wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Brussels.

This little gem of a hotel reminds me why I always loved hospitality. This former bank has been beautifully renovated--and boasts an extremely clean and beautifully-decorated interior. The staff is exceptionally warm and kind--and goes above and beyond to make a guest feel loved. The location is also walking distance to most major sights in Brussels--and lots of delicious restaurants, including Wolf next door. I loved my room. The large, varied and delicious breakfast of high quality ingredients was super delicious. And, the impeccable cleanliness made my heart sing! I had to deduct a star because the bedding, pillows and mattress were a bit firm for my liking. Regardless, I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Brussels. It's my Belgian home--ka-ching!!!!!

4 friends traveling together, staying in 2 rooms April 2026. This is a beautiful hotel with classic lines and woodwork. I would classify it as a boutique hotel, not a luxury hotel however. The good: Beautiful and classic interior, very clean, good hot water and pressure, good sized rooms, great location near city center, very good blackout curtains, soft towels, in room coffee, good laundry service. Some of our not so good experiences (the worst for last). There is not a good car drop off point, so plan on transferring luggage on the street. This is more than made up for by the great location. There are about a dozen steps to get to the front desk and there is no doorman to assist. We had most of our luggage inside before assistance was offered by the hotel. Check in was good and we were lucky to have both our rooms ready early in the day. The hotel does technically have a bar, even with a couple of complimentary self serve drinks, but it is only enough of a bar to claim they have one. No seats, no dedicated bartender, very small selection. There is no restaurant, however they do offer breakfast for a fee. It was decent, but not much more than a continental breakfast. I did not try their gym, so I cannot comment on that. Our room was large, but Hotel Fleur has fallen victim to designers that favor form over function. We had a huge sink that took up all useful space in the bathroom with no counter space left over for toiletries. A 24" sink with less than 4" available around it — we were constantly knocking items onto the floor. Showers had no doors which frequently led to wet floors. The rooms also only had 2 large towels provided, which is kind of minimum for 2 person occupancy. This is a first for us for this level of hotel. Service was spotty. The majority of the staff were indifferent to requests. One gentleman with a beard and glasses was fantastic. He was outwardly helpful and showed genuine empathy and compassion when our friends' room had a significant problem. Every experience with this individual was outstanding. By far our worst experience was the noise. Some from other guests, but most from the street. The street noise was so clear that we both checked the windows several times to make sure they were closed. Apparently the Brussels rednecks like to rev their motorcycle engines to hear the echo between the buildings — all night, every night. This hotel did nothing during their remodel in regards to sound dampening. You will get all the noise of an old building combined with all the noise of a modern city. Don't expect a good night's sleep without earplugs, especially if your room faces either street. Also, the beautiful old floors are old, and creak and squeak, so no sneaking to the bathroom at night. The single worst incident of our stay was arriving back to find hotel staff — not contractors — doing touch up painting throughout our friends' occupied room, with no regard for the fact that someone was clearly staying there. The gentleman with a beard and glasses was again outstanding — empathetic and immediately helpful. The Manager, however, was apathetic and visibly reluctant to offer any compensation. An immediate room transfer was offered, but who wants to repack and move mid-vacation? The ultimate compensation for this inexcusable breach was 2 free breakfasts for the 4 of us. Draw your own conclusions.

I was in the hotel other day. Simply amazing, elegant boutique hotel with a story and character. I love it. It was a bank before and now it is a stylish hotel. Attention the staff gives you is so special here. Abdel from the front desk showed me a great hospitality while I was in the hotel. Rooms are spacious and well-designed, not modern minimalistic. The breakfast room is one of a kind. You feel like you're in a historical movie. The bar is definitely made to impress. I'll enjoy their cocktails next time. Love the vibe and impeccable style of this hotel.

Beautiful hotel in the center of everything. We had a standard room on the third floor, and the room was spacious enough for the 2 of us. The room is beautifully decorated, and well lit. The room has all the amenities including a stocked minibar with items that you can pay for, a safe, a water kettle, a Nespresso machine, robes and slippers. Our room is close to the elevators but it's pretty quiet with no street noise (perhaps because our room doesn't face the street). The attention to details is commendable with a welcome card with my name. At 5, someone from the hotel knocked on the door to give us a little packet of chocolate. The bed is comfortable with soft pillows. The room temp is comfortable and the internet is fast and stable. The shower included a rain shower and a hand wand, and water pressure and temperature was good. The only thing that could be a small negative is that there is a small flight of steps before entering and before the check-in desk, so you have to lug your luggage up the steps. The check-in and all the staff we met were very friendly and accommodating. Once again, the location can't be beat. We're 4 minutes from Grande Place, and very close to restaurants and shops.

Hotel Fleur de Ville is an excellent choice for those seeking comfort, tranquility, and hospitality in a cozy setting.
