Festheart, el festival de cine LGBT+ de Estonia, se puso en marcha en 2017 en Rakvere, una pequeña ciudad del norte de Estonia, y añadió Tartu en 2020. Lo organiza MTÜ Sevenbow, con Keio Soomelt como coordinador. No proyecta películas en Tallin.
El ayuntamiento de Rakvere se negó inicialmente a financiar el festival; Festheart llevó el asunto a los tribunales y ganó dos veces, tras lo cual el consistorio pagó, según informó ERR.
El festival abarca dos fines de semana, uno en cada ciudad. En 2025 se celebró del 26 al 28 de septiembre en Elektriteater, en Tartu, y del 3 al 5 de octubre en Rakvere Teatrikino, inaugurando con «Dreams (Sex Love)», de Dag Johan Haugerud, y con fiestas posteriores organizadas por el colectivo drag de Tartu House of KuKo. Desde Tallin, Rakvere está a unos 90 minutos en autobús y Tartu a unas dos horas y media. Las fechas para 2027 aún no se habían anunciado cuando hicimos la comprobación.

Getting there from Tallinn
Rakvere is about 90 minutes by bus and Tartu about two and a half hours by train or bus.
