Sobre el evento

Set 1: Kuula Hetke

Kuula Hetke (word for word Listen to the Moment)  is an improvisational flute duo from Estonia. Their core repertoire draws inspiration from traditional motifs of their home regions and original compositions, which they skillfully unravel and weave back together on stage. They capture the sentiment in those deceptively effortless melodies, flowing with ethereal seamlessness – making each moment truly unique.
In their intimate musical language, they blend acoustic flute soundscaAccessibility Statspes with electronics
and voice, creating an atmosphere that inevitably draws the listeners within and takes on different meanings for each individual.

Set 2: PERPERÚNA
Since 2020, the members of Perperúna, driven together by their common passion for Greek, Balkan and Sephardi oral traditions, focus on the study, reinterpretation, and communication of the female polyphonic sound, often with the use of performative elements. Presenting a collection of reinterpreted folk songs and their hidden stories, inspired by vanishing oral traditions, they create a contemporary polyphonic sound of their own and invite to an immersive world of sonic diversity from the Balkans and the Mediterranean diaspora.
The name of the five-member ensemble refers to the centuries-old, pan-Balkanic, rain-making ritual of Perperúna, in which women would sing and dance through the villages during times of drought to invoke rain for the fields. This connection between communal practices and the power that lies within the voice, shapes substantially the ensemble’s artistic vision and work.
With κεntóï, the Berlin-based Perperúna Ensemble released its debut album in June 2026, presenting contemporary interpretations of traditional polyphonic songs from Greece, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean diaspora.
The voices of Perperúna: Lorena Atrakzy (Israel/Palestine), Dimitra Kandia (Greece), Angel (Italy), Saraï O’gara (Spain), Johanna Schlottke (Germany)
