For 30 years my favorite sauna in Budapest but the prices have increased terribly and there are not as many visitors as before, I don't understand this strategy, Budapest used to be a very attractive gay destination, not at all anymore.
A friend told me he used to go to this sauna while living in Hungary. He met a guy and decided to have a beer with him. The next morning, his butt hurt.
I had a very pleasant afternoon at Sauna 69, and I found the prices reasonable considering Budapest has become such an expensive city. A latte in a neighborhood café can cost 4 or 5 Euros, and entry to the iconic Rudas Turkish Baths costs over 25 Euros without any of the discounts Sauna 69 offers. Finally, the staff are extremely friendly and patient with foreign tourists.
I had a very pleasant time in the sauna. The staff are friendly and speak English. There are customers of all ages; I had an intimate moment with a 20-year-old (I'm 57).
I gladly give this sauna the highest rating. I was there on Friday, May 1st, 2026. The experience was wonderful. It was my first time at this sauna. At the entrance, I was greeted very warmly by a young, very handsome man. He explained everything to me and answered my questions. I grabbed a second towel right away, which turned out to be a mistake. More on that later. I then went to my locker and undressed. My cell phone must have fallen out of my pocket, which I didn't notice. After undressing, I went inside and a younger man immediately approached me. We both went straight into a cabin and had a great time. We had something in common, and he felt something for me too. We had a really good conversation afterward, but unfortunately, we lost touch. I think that's a real shame. I had a lot of fun that evening and will visit the sauna again next Saturday. The sauna is very clean; everything was perfect. The only thing that bothered me a little was having to get dressed to smoke and then having to smoke on the street. But that's not the owner's fault. Don't take a second towel right away; both of mine were gone on my first visit to the steam room. Generally, almost no one pays attention to whose towel belongs to whom. Tying them in a knot or anything else doesn't help. Again, the owner can't do anything about that. I arrived at 2 p.m. and left at 9 p.m. It was a really lovely few hours. When I left the sauna, I went to my car and wanted to set my GPS to get back to the hotel in Dabas. That's when I realized it was gone. Can you imagine the thoughts that went through my head? I would never have found my way back without my cell phone. No contact with home. It was almost as bad as losing your wallet with all your cards and ID. So I went back to the sauna and asked if anyone had turned in a cell phone. The young man initially said that entry wasn't possible at the moment because the sauna was full. Then he understood and told me that someone had turned in their phone. I was so relieved. I can't even imagine what would have happened if I hadn't gotten it back. All in all, a very good sauna; I'll definitely go again on Saturday.
The staff was nice and the service was good.
The best place we visited. It had a proper sauna with a pool and nice black rooms. Congratulations because we liked it more than the magnum.
