El Barcelona Queer Film Festival es un festival pequeño y joven. No es lo mismo que FIRE!!, el festival de cine LGBTQ+ de Barcelona de larga trayectoria, que se celebra a principios de verano y está organizado por Casal Lambda. El Barcelona Queer Film Festival acepta propuestas de cualquier país en cuatro categorías: largometrajes de ficción, documentales, cortometrajes y videoclips musicales. Se proyecta durante un fin de semana, con eventos de literatura y arte queer en los días previos.
La tercera edición está programada del 27 al 29 de noviembre de 2026 en Cine Maldà, una sala de cine única en el Gothic Quarter, según la convocatoria del festival.
