Barcelona Queer Film Festival to mały, młody festiwal. Nie jest to to samo co FIRE!!, długoletni festiwal filmów LGBTQ+ w Barcelonie, organizowany przez Casal Lambda wczesnym latem. Barcelona Queer Film Festival przyjmuje zgłoszenia z każdego kraju w czterech kategoriach: filmy fabularne, dokumenty, filmy krótkometrażowe i teledyski. Pokazy odbywają się przez jeden weekend, a w poprzedzających dniach towarzyszą im wydarzenia związane z literaturą i sztuką queer.
Trzecia edycja odbędzie się w dniach 27-29 listopada 2026 roku w Cine Maldà, jednosalowym kinie w Dzielnicy Gotyckiej, zgodnie z zaproszeniem do składania zgłoszeń na festiwal.
