Saw Danny Michel ..great show and the sound was spot on. Bartenders could be a little more engaging..

This review is specifically for the pool hall upstairs. The equipment is in very bad shape, the worst out of any dedicated pool hall I've been to in Toronto - table was stained, uneven, and felt had holes etc. and I had to search around the room for a non-bent cue. The drinks were not good either, my first beer was flat so I got a vodka soda which wasn't particularly strong yet tasted like dishwater. If it wasn't an institution in this city I'd give it a lower score.

Loved the vibes.. amazing vintage place.

Great place to grab a beer and play pool

Went there on a busy night knowing it would probably be difficult to get a pool table, so we were expecting to wait a bit. However, once we arrived, nothing was really explained to us. We had to ask the bartender ourselves, who mentioned there was a waitlist, but after putting our name down, we had no idea how long the wait would be, where we should sit, or if we would be called soon. We ended up waiting for over 30 minutes without hearing anything. The staff all seemed extremely busy, and unfortunately the bartenders didn’t really pay attention to us or try to communicate with us. We ordered drinks but honestly felt ignored the entire time, so eventually we just decided to leave. The place itself also feels quite old and outdated. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience, and unfortunately not somewhere I would recommend.

There is a specific kind of magic in those "blink-and-you’ll-miss-it" spots. When a venue has survived for decades.. ​The back-room stage setup creates such a great sense of anticipation, too. You have to physically commit to the space by walking through the bar or the front lounge to find the "real" show... it creates a literal inner sanctum for the music. ​In smaller rooms, the barrier between the performer and the crowd just evaporates. You aren't just watching a performance; you’re breathing the same air as the band. It’s raw, it’s loud, and it’s usually way more memorable than any stadium tour...

Watched Jade Hilton and friends for a sold out country music concert. Highly recommend the Burger and Hazy IPA!

Visited Rivoli Toronto for the first time on Tuesday for Trivia Night and had such an incredibly fun and memorable experience. Taylor, our Trivia Night Host, was so personable, energetic and funny. The pool hall upstairs is super fun and spacious, and you lose track of time. I will certainly be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for some great times in the city.

Visited on Wednesday with a friend for a meetup, ordered two beers, and paid through a machine. Receipt showed a $4 tip without our choice. When questioned, the bartender replaced it with a tipless receipt. Ended up paying almost $26 for 2 beers due to an undisclosed 25% tip. Poor service, no friendly greeting. Tips should come from great service, not forced charges. Management needs to improve.
