DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Washington DC - Crystal City

No breakfast included and there was poo on the OUTSIDE OF THE TOILET IN MY ROOM! I could hear the people at a normal volume in the adjacent rooms and I found a bottle of salad dressing and some diced onions in the mini fridge. Every time I went outside there was someone either asking me about drugs or tweaked out. When I finally did check out and take the shuttle the driver was extremely aggressive about getting a tip.

Great location and good service. The rooms are typical for Double Tree, clean and comfortable, but with a few issues at this location. My room had the usual desk area, but with no accessible power outlets. I did find half an outlet (one socket) behind the desk, but this was unreachable. Likewise, there was an unreachable extension lead fixed to the back of the tv stand. So there was no way to work at the desk while powering any electronics. Some of the room lights had failed bulbs, so the room service staff hadn’t been reporting the failures. But the room was quiet and comfortable.

The location and room was great. One thing that is really missing is a microwave That would have made a huge difference to have more affordable options to eat left overs.

Good service and nice rooms

When I 1st checked in they told me not till 4pm and I asked for the 14th floor and they gave me 3rd floor with someone playing loud music in the room right next to me..

I was double-charged for my stay. Despite prepaying for the room, I was forced to pay again just to check in. It took countless phone calls and emails to finally get this resolved. Additionally, the promised F&B credits were not applied to my account. If you aren't going to honor your promotions, please don't advertise them.

Excellent service

Very bad customer service and horrible shuttle service plus receptionist is diss missive …

It was our group of friends’ first time visiting Washington, D.C. this past weekend, May 17, 2026, and unfortunately we were beyond disappointed with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was terrible. The front desk staff was unprofessional and unhelpful, and the restaurant staff made the experience even worse with their poor attitude and lack of hospitality. To make matters worse, the room was not clean at all, which was extremely unacceptable. Overall, this turned into one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. What should have been a fun and memorable trip with friends became a complete nightmare because of the poor service and lack of care for guests. We truly expected much better.

My rating is based solely on my experience as a shuttle rider to the airport. This hotel CANNOT be relied on to come even remotely close to delivering in their shuttle service. On 5/20 we waited 55 minutes for a shuttle. It got so bad that a pilot & stewardess called a Lyft so they wouldn't miss their flights as did another passenger. We went from being 1.5 hours early to making it to our gate with only 5 minutes to spare.
