Half of the elevators were out of service. The wait times for the other half that were working was very long, often having full elevators making you wait for a second one. The elevators were also making some very strange clunking and grinding noises. I felt unsafe taking them, so much so that I would take eight flights of stairs. The staff was nice and the rooms were fine.

Everyone was so kind and welcoming, every morning there was a good morning, everytime we got back it was a welcome back. Some of the kindest service in a hotel I’ve ever had :)

Writing My stay at Le Méridien was incredibly disappointing, especially considering that I paid over $1,000 for my stay and this was my third visit to the property. First, I want to acknowledge the staff. The front desk team, restaurant staff, managers, and many of the employees we interacted with were wonderful. They were professional, attentive, and did their best to assist whenever concerns were brought to their attention. The people are truly the reason I continue to return to this hotel. However, the condition of the property itself falls far below what should be expected from a luxury or upscale hotel. During our stay, there was no air conditioning at various times, the indoor pool was out of order, elevators were not functioning properly, and there were visible signs of water damage throughout the hotel. Water stains and deterioration could be seen on walls and ceilings not only in our guest room but also in common areas, including the restaurant and bar. The outdoor pool area was particularly concerning. The pool was dirty, the filtration system did not appear to be working properly, furniture was broken, and the deck itself was deteriorating. One member of our party actually received a splinter due to the condition of the pool deck. Two cabanas were unusable because they were broken, and the furniture inside the cabanas was heavily soiled and appeared not to have been cleaned in quite some time. Dining was also impacted by maintenance issues. While eating dinner, there were gnats everywhere, making it difficult to enjoy the experience. These are not the conditions guests expect when paying premium rates for accommodations. What is most frustrating is that many of these issues are not minor or newly developed concerns. The visible deterioration throughout the property makes it difficult to believe that upper management is unaware of these ongoing shortcomings. There is simply no way that the General Manager and Director are unaware of the extensive maintenance, cleanliness, and operational issues affecting the guest experience. This was our third stay. During our first stay, we experienced several issues. During our second stay at the Sheraton, everything was wonderful. Unfortunately, this third stay at Le Méridien brought us right back to the same concerns we experienced before. I have already contacted Expedia regarding the situation and initially requested a full refund. Truthfully, I am not necessarily looking for a full refund. What I would like is accountability, meaningful improvements to the property, and compensation that reflects the significant inconveniences we experienced. If the hotel were willing to compensate us for the days affected by these issues and make the necessary repairs and upgrades, I would consider that a fair resolution. I genuinely want to continue supporting this hotel because of the outstanding staff and convenient location. However, major changes need to be made. The employees deserve a property that reflects the quality of service they provide, and guests deserve accommodations that meet the standards promised by a luxury hotel brand.

We recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing, especially considering we spent over $300 for one night. The biggest issue was the elevators. There are four elevators, but only two were functioning, which resulted in extremely long wait times. Since the staircases were difficult to locate, we ended up walking up and down multiple flights of stairs to reach our room on the 9th floor. We also ordered a flatbread pizza and spinach dip, both of which were expensive and appeared to have been microwaved. The food was unfortunately inedible. The pool area was another disappointment. There were no towels available, and seating was very limited. Most of the staff members we encountered were not particularly friendly, although Cameron stood out as an exception. He was incredibly sweet and provided the best customer service we experienced during our stay. The room itself was not as clean as expected. The air conditioning unit was very loud and sounded as though it might break at any moment. The shower made similar noises and did not inspire confidence. Overall, this experience did not meet the expectations we had for a hotel stay at this price point. There were simply too many issues to overlook. We left disappointed and hope management addresses these concerns so future guests can have a better experience.

EDIT: I did come back and if I could give this hotel a million stars I would! Jonathan - is absolutely the BEST! He gave me major upgrade and was sooo kind and it was on a day I really needed it. I really felt like I was treated like a QUEEN in QUEEN CITY! I think I will forever love and remember this hotel. This was the perfect stay, beautiful and very friendly and kind staff. Loved it and I will definitely come back.
